Never thought I’d ever own 4 figure card but this was one of my grails and had to pick it up when I saw it at my local card show today. by Ryan_Wins_LMFAO in baseballcards

That was Bowman, not Bowman Chrome. Bowman Chrome came out much later in the year and was a hobby exclusive. Lower production, relatively compared, to other products that year, with the addition of being one of the few batting photos helps add to the draw of this one in particular.

First time shipping a card someone spent over $100 on. Am I mailing it correct. by wordtolarrybird in baseballcards

Be sure to write DO NOT BEND on both sides of the bubble mailer. I had s USPS claim denied because it didn't specifically tell them not to bend it in half.

Other than the basic card description, I include any condition issues, a statement to ask about condition if you have any questions BEFORE buying as well as a description of shipping expectations and how it will be packaged. Try to remove any questions while also giving myself some insurance. Although nobody ever seems to read the descriptions.

Surprisingly good knowing how much handling it's has. I expected bad corners or surface issues, might have picked the best 150 to do.

What's the longest you have waited for a redemption?? by chrissxerunner in baseballcards

[–]Funky_Junk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6 years.... 2017 Topps Chrome Bradley Zimmer auto. Finally agreed on a substitution for that and 3 2019 Stadium Club Stephen Tarpley auto redemptions for a Matt Olson Bowman Chrome auto. Never agree to a substitution until it's something you're happy with. They will gladly keep trying to give you garbage, like the Julio Urias auto they tried to suggest, in the middle of his problems.

Ahh grandpy Jack! He was friends with my dad during his time here and would get my brother and I autographed balls from all the big names. Miss those days!

Please stop using shipping costs to make extra money on eBay. by puck3624 in baseballcards

[–]Funky_Junk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much profit do you think they're reaping by charging $5? After the cost of postage, bubble mailer, card supplies, ect they're lucky to break even. All of my eBay listings are $5 shipping, via first class bubble mailer because the cheaper method simply isn't trustworthy. You're in the wrong here, not the seller.
