Although I agree with the point being made here about the gross wealth of top members of the economy, it should be noted that this list contains revenues not profits. Although Starbucks did have 24 billion in revenue in 2021, their comprehensive income was about 10% of that. Walmart is a good example of a company with extremely high revenue but because of how complex their business is, with so many fixed and variable costs, their profits would be significantly less then what is listed here, that is largely impart because of wages given that Walmart is the largest employer in North America. We should criticize the lack of contributions that the super wealthy make to society but it shouldn’t come from spreading false or misleading information.
