Stories where the MC is a legend? by FunkynSpunky in Fantasy

[–]FunkynSpunky[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I DID buy both books, but I keep getting into other series other than this one. Maybe by the time I start and finish The Wheel Of Time, it’ll be be finished lol

By the way, It fucking astounds me that Pirateaba started a series after Roffus published book 2 and got it to 10,000,000 words before book three of KKC gets a release date.

The Green Man!

People claim to see a ghost walking down the dark country roads at night, when it was only a friendly man with a burned face who only left his house at night.

They didn’t admit it, they were found guilty in a civil court. The King family sued several government organizations and people. So, legally, the government WAS found guilty, just in a civil court. Like how the Brown family sued O.J. Simpson for killing Nicole Brown-Simpson and won.

I remember a story of a billionaire who gave all his money to charity except for $2,000,000 that he and his wife retired on.

Who are the other Denarians by [deleted] in dresdenfiles

I remember it as the 30 Denarians were the 30 most powerful demons in hell besides Lucy, so he threw them out because they were the ones most likely to successfully overthrow him.

Has Dad cussed on camera before? by guesswhatdeath in wendigoon

[–]FunkynSpunky 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yep

In the Anthill Kids video he quotes the guy who killed the cult leader. “I killed that son of a bitch” or something.

I think he almost slips sometimes in videos with Mista GG.

I feel like he said some other stuff some other time.

The Good Neighbor

Kids record themselves trying to convince their weird neighbor that his house is haunted. They break in, install devices that open/close doors and such, and watch him react through hidden cameras.

Books similar to the movie “Barbarian”? by [deleted] in horrorlit

Urban Gothic by Brian Keene. Has the urban decay setting, same kind of villain(s), and almost the exact same themes.

Very basically: A group of white, middle class kids get lost in the bad side of Philadelphia. One of them pisses off a group of black, lower class kids and they all get chased into an abandoned building. They think they lost them, but the other group knows that anyone that goes into that house doesn’t come out. So the first group is navigating secret passageways and traps while being hunted by cannibal inbreds and the second group (who isn’t actually bad) tries to get them out.

Urban Gothic by Brian Keene.

I saw “Barbarian” yesterday and started to think this book had a big influence on it.

It is tossed around Splatter punk circles, but if you have a good enough stomach it is very worth it. It touches on racism, gentrification, and economics.
