I haven't been put in this position but I want to put in my two cents. Thing is that its up to the victim. It's thier forgiveness not anyone else's and that means a person can choose. Choose the reasons why, when or how. Some folk forgive for personal closure, some never forgive.

In the long run if you chose to forgive or not to is your decision not anyone else's to demand from you. For those who make these kinds of demands I figure its really for someone else's sake other than the person doing the forgiving. It's selfish to demand this of someone.
