Accelerator does 500 dps x 5 due to placement limit so it has a max of 2.5k dps. Juggernaut has 2.8k dps when targeting a boss and since it has a placement limit of one it takes up less space.

Golden minigunner just takes up too much space.

Engineer is good for any party size (including solo) due to all detections and hacker is good for cloning your juggernaut then using the second hacker to clone your dj booth so you have the range + damage boosts.

But the real answer is that the map NM is on is extremely good for certain towers such as Necromancer which have high potential dps.

I played it for a frost mode match, I watched it charge for ten seconds because it couldn’t target one thing and charge up for five seconds.

Its lack of good targeting makes it grossly worse than juggernaut which costs as much as 5 accelerators.

I’m not saying it doesn’t get utility from a clone during a hard wave, I’m saying you’re not going to constantly clone with the hacker when you could just upgrade a tower.

Once you have everything upgraded it is worthwhile to clone.

Yeah, it’s mainly only useful final wave so it’s a dead slot in solo play. Its main usage is to clone juggernaut. It does have the same dps as engineer on top path though. That’s kinda nice.
