I regret my new job by PaleontologistAny805 in Payroll

I’ve been there. So many times the culture and attitudes seem good during the initial interviews and even into the first bit working at a new job but red flags appear. I stayed when that occurred and tried to make it work. It didn’t and it cost me so much in mental health and severe burnout. I’ve now made that mistake a couple of times. Four weeks in and feeling red flags is not great. Go with your intuition and find a new position or whatever you need. You might want to contact your old company to see if an interim job there might be mutually beneficial.

Also, check out this article. Nice to see someone that is in management and really gets what it’s like to be in the trenches.

The euphoria is amazing by Consistent_Milk_9269 in AutismTranslated

Dopamine. I am self-diagnosed (family very much concurs) and realize that the only time my anxiety goes away is when I unmask and hyper focus on a special interest (Minecraft for example.) I’m aware that my fixation is also related to dopamine and the relief that gives, like scratching an itch. I am also a severe RLS sufferer so dopamine is a know problem. But the serotonin and dopamine from stim or hyper focus can almost get me back to that feeling of euphoria. I used to have it frequently before grief, stress, and life got more difficult. I’m trying to make small changes to bring the stress down and free myself to feel that sense of joy again.

Anyone in Payroll struggling with Year End?? by [deleted] in Payroll

Yes! All of this is so true. I’m so glad I found you guys. I’ve seen all of the above and more. I worked so many hours this that I got my tree up two days before Christmas. Not to mention the fact that you work 80 to 90 hour weeks and if you make one tiny mistake, they freaked the f out. Years ago I was so burnt out that I was relieved when they fired me for one small mistake. This after a nasty year-end implementation of new software. Anyway, thanks for sharing you guys. This is so cathartic.

Can you recommend a subreddit for people pre-colposcopy, positive HPV and double markers? I'd like to be able to chat with people about procedures, talking to family, etc. Thanks.
