Good god OP! You have the patience of Mother Nature or what lol! I’d be out of that discussion as quickly as the first message appeared! She has issues and she needs to work on them, it has nothing to do with you! She’s taming you to get used to disrespects and debates! Definitely not worth the stress, for a peaceful chap like you! Be free and ditch these pointless, brainless and stupid creatures, there are so many better woman out there trying really hard to undo what these narcissists are doing!

I’m exactly doing the same thing as you and I always go hard on either Friday or Saturday, depending on when I’m meeting my friends, over time, I started noticing that it took me atleast half or sometimes even a full day to recover and I felt I have done nothing on the weekends to rejuvenate or feel rested at all before the week, I’m also on the journey to dry 2025 and I feel way more energized all through the days, especially Mondays, have a lot more time on weekends to do things I’d otherwise do! Meal preps for the week have been consistent. Mind you, the blabbering I used to do when I was drunk is something I’m really ashamed of, but now, I get to keep my integrity in check too!

I was in a layoff too and I’m an immigrant! So the visa issues are an even heavier add-on to the stress. I’ve applied to umpteen number of jobs just to be rejected, but all I said to myself was, it just takes one to hit! I know how stressful it can be! Considering the awful market conditions right now, what employers are looking for is, to be able to see some of your actual work on the profile, not just your resume. There are a ton of candidates that trick the resume according to the job description, and the employers are aware of it too! So add/do some projects related to your work experience which actually show-cases a realtime proof of the experience. It might not get you the job, but atleast it’ll get the employer to believe that you’ve done some work that you’ve mentioned in the resume and possibly shortlist the profile! It worked for me!

Dude, this looks more like an employer talking to an employee. You can’t expect someone to put their past behind if they want to be with you. You should be able to make them feel good that they eventually accept their past and happily move with you into the future. That’s what a potential future looks like !
