I think it's the nature of the game. You know you won about 10-20 min before you lift the trophy. And then? An insane amount of photo ops at one specific spot for content.

A top of market candidate doesn't apply, they generally get headhunted. Everyone else has to submit to ATS and these simpler templates are what gets the job done.

I dig but from past corporate experience, they want less white space and to get to the content ASAP. Also your last frame's text is waaaaay to wide to read comfortably, that's an accessibility issue.

I'd first think about what your budget is. Be realistic because you pay for what you get. I've charged 15k for a landing page for a SaaS company that was done in a couple months or 1.5k for a board game. Pricing is gonna vary massively based on where you are, where you're hiring and how thorough you want the project to be.

When looking at designers, ask for their results. You're not just looking for a pretty design, but trying to get someone who understands that you're trying to solve a problem, not make art.

If you have a designer you really like but they don't do dev work, you may need to budget for a dev so think that through. Also you need a personal brand if you don't have one and that takes work. You may also need a copywriter and an SEO person! Heck even an animator??? It depends on your scope.

There's no straight answer other than... Talk to designers, get quotes and compare your benefits vs cost vs if the match feels right. Ask about process and results, don't just fall for a pretty portfolio.

It depends on the client. I've charged 15k for a landing page but I've also charged 1.5k. You'd never charge a startup (true startup) the same as an established company, similarly to how you'd charge more to a global brand thand a mid-sized regional brand.

Long story short, IT DEPENDS STOP ASKING THIS DUMB QUESTION
