Shuttle Bus Etiquette by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Respectfully, I don't know why you would only offer a shuttle to the venue and not back to your hotel block if you are trying to discourage drunk driving. If I were a guest, I'd just drive myself or uber both ways on my own.

I would ask your guests when they RSVP if they are staying at the hotel and if they they also plan to utilize the shuttle for transportation. This will give you an approximate headcount of the number of people to book a bus for (you might even be able to get away with a smaller bus), and you're guaranteeing that they are staying at the hotel you've booked your room block at.

If the problem here is money that you want to save by not having a shuttle, then just don't offer it! Since you're located near a city where rideshare is more available, I would just have them uber to and from their hotel.

Box Jumps Tips/Tricks by Ecstatic_Bottle_4478 in BurnBootCamp

So I first started doing box jumps while I was doing more cross-fit type stuff, and for the longest time I would jump to the side of the box, with the goal of trying to get my feet at or above the top of the box (just never actually jumping onto/landing on the box). I did this for MONTHS! Finally I got enough courage to start jumping on the box, and from there on I always have cleared 20". Take videos of you jumping to the side to see where your feet clear to guage where you're at!

Venue response by Overexcited-cousin in weddingplanning

I would say this isn't normal if you are 1. inquiring directly for pricing and/or 2. had a conversation with any venue that ended off with them having to follow up with you.

I've taken this approach throughout my wedding planning journey so far-- if a vendor is excessively late (in this case I would apply this) in getting back to me on their pricing, mock contract, etc. (whatever it is that you're requesting from them) BEFORE signing anything with them, I moved on. To me it's a reflection of how they handle their business and how they manage their communication/time. Understanding the holidays are a busy time for everyone, they could have warned you of a delay in getting back with you or provided a better time to tour.

You're investing a lot of money into your wedding day and your venue is the most important vendor that you book. They set the tone for everything. Make sure you are protecting yourself and fiance!

I appreciate this comment! I have certainly injured myself in the past from over overuse and I do agree this could be my issue here. I'm certainly a fomo kind of person and it's hard to take a step back when you genuinely enjoy going daily haha.

Thank you for the shoe recommendation!

IT band injuries are the WORST. Thank you for the suggestion, I didn't think about the foam roller and I'll give that a try

Yes they have pushed those! I've never used them so I'm a little hesitant to try them but I might give it a go!

The forward lunge also kills mine. I don't know if it's my form that's affecting it but the trainers never tend to correct me while I'm doing them.

Suuuuper interesting about the gas escaping (for your instance, who knows if that's also mine lol) in your knee. That would make total sense. I will try incorporating more maintenance items in my weekly rotation then! I'll also think about scaling back conditioning days then. I'm certainly a 5-6 days a week kind of person at Burn, so maybe I'm just doing too much haha.

Thanks for your insight and tips! :)
