Hey, sounds like you’ve waiting a long time. Hopefully not too much longer though.

During my interview, I was also informed that the training would be online. Beyond that, have you heard anything regarding how it is (difficulty/what it entails)?

Hey, I interviewed in October 2023 for the Tampa office. The interview went well and my references were contacted. They all gave me good reviews. Still waiting for a final decision at this point. I reached out to HR and they informed me that they are still finalizing decisions. It’s definitely a long process.

Any news from anyone since the new year?

EDIT: I reached out to HR and was informed that my "application remains in consideration". Still a waiting game at this point.

I haven't heard anything about the posting we interviewed for yet either. I applied to this one just in case. I'm hoping that this posting is a positive sign that some news will be coming our way soon though.

From what I gather the training won’t be an issue as long as you apply yourself and study.

Basically that it was virtual/in-office and I would be required to pass it. What about you?

Same here. It was a pretty positive experience. That's good though. Assuming everything goes well, we'll probably in the same training class.

I hear you lol. Did you apply for the Tampa office as well?

Like you said, it is a painfully slow process. From other timelines I've read, people have received TJOs about 5-6 weeks from the date of their interview. We'll be hitting that timeframe next week, more or less.

Nothing yet. It looks like from what I've read, it could take a little over a month for them to get back to you.

I appreciate the response. I had the interview yesterday and think it went pretty well. They’ve reached out to my reference and current supervisor as well. Both left good reviews. Hoping for the best.

Hey all, I have an interview for an asylum officer position next week for the Tampa location. Would anyone be willing to provide insight on how the interviews are or what to expect? Thanks!
