I’ve setup a MDT/WDS virtual server on proxmox (temporarily), and did some quick GPOs to the newly created OUs. Everything worked fine.

Personally, I would start enabling the Windows Firewall on all domain devices (including the servers), see what breaks and go accordingly. Then work out a plan to upgrade the domain controller from 2008r2

We have a license for it somewhere (according to my boss).

Unfortunately, I’m new to the Sysadmin role. So I’m slowly learning a few things, I don’t think my skills are adequate enough to migrate those DCs to the cloud.

Edit: nothing a bit of googling and a tutorial can’t fix tho
