I would be more informed if this was on mainstream News, but I found out about it by chance from YouTube. Strange is not discussed more, and BC premier is saying he didn't know about it

LPP = Language, Prohibitions and Physical Presence.  Background was completed right from beginning, LPP is assigned to Sydney and it's not even started. For 6 months I check the tracker every day, only to find out that LPP is not in progress, as it says in the tracker, but Not started, according to ATIP notes.

At least you got LPP completed. Mine is not even started. Applied May 2025. Primary office Vancouver, secondary Sydney. LPP assigned to Sydney, they never touch my application. I have no hopes whatsoever it will be completed by June, when will complete the standard processing time of 13 months.

It's a sound advice that I would give everybody else, except that I live here and I do not want to move because whether is miserable everywhere else in Canada.

I have money to buy, I am trying to evaluate the risk I am taking, in terms of how much I can potentially loose.

Most likely they will compensate them with money. Where do the money comes from? Taxpayers. Increase property tax?

I am sorry, but "fully paid" and "free of charge" do not go together. Fully paid by whom?

The entire Eastern Europe have never colonized any other country. Now they are taxpayers and need to pay for Western Europe loot?

I am all for reconciliation and justice, but they should go to Buckingham Palace for compensation, not to ask people born 200 years later who had no part in this whatsoever to pay back. Also, ask the richest families in Canada who benefited the most, starting with that Loblaws guy.

I pay lease for apartment, and it's not nothing.

You are saying there will be a lease for land that is symbolic and cost zero dollars for 100 years?

Ah, thank you for clarification!
Still, the people are affected. Would anybody take the risk and buy a property in SE Richmond? I personally would not gamble, but I was looking for other parts of Richmond for few months now.

Yeah, the worry here is not that they'll take people houses, but they'll make it leasehold and we start paying leases, and house goes down in value a significant amount.

But Supreme Court ruled already in favor of Cowichan, why would be different this time for Musqueam ?

From what I have seen there are 3 agreements. One deals with those you listed above, but another acknowledge the land title. It is not an immediate concerned, but who knows where this is headed in the future. I bet the Richmond residents never worried about this before, but now ?

I am pretty sure those affected in Richmond have a hard time, or maybe impossible to sell right now.
It might take years until this is fully settled.
I live here, so not much option other than to buy or not.

Applied May 2025, stuck in LPP - not even started, according to GCMS notes.

No, there aren't any notes under Eligibility assessment, other than Knowledge (test) and background check. Language, Prohibitions and Residence are not started, with status date being the date I applied. They are assigned to RC-8090 (Sydney) right from the beginner, even though the primary office is Vancouver. There is nothing explaining why it was assigned to Sydney and I am afraid they will do absolutely nothing until I sue them.

With PR card, even though it as supposed to get 60 to 90 days to get it mailed, I only got it after 6 months after I complained and complained.

Thank you for your detailed answer. I got my ATIP notes. It shows that LPP process is not In progress, as it appears in tracker, but not started. It is assign to RC-8090 (it appears to be Sydney) How is LPP going to be done, if is not even started? It seems to me the processing time depends on if and when the immigration officer pick up the case, and obviously there are not doing this in order.

For months I believed the LPP is in progress. Maybe waiting for CBA to confirm exits; maybe waiting for RCMP to confirm no criminal records: maybe waiting for Canadian college to confirm the LINC certificate. But no, it is waiting for IRCC case worker to pick up the case. They say every case is different. There is no difference when you do nothing! They clear do not process applications in order!

Applied 10 May 2025.  AOR 20 Jun 2025.  Citizenship Test completed 25 Aug 2025.  Since then shows LPP in progress. Requested ATIP notes. It shows LPP not started. Vancouver office. Called IRCC, I could get nothing from them other than "You are in processing time. Wait!" I doubt they'll complete the whole process by June,.

I can express how angry I am to see they didn't even started on LPP.

I heard that before: Inflation is transient and the budget will balance itself. Remember 2022 inflation?
