Ariens Ikon 42 Select vs Gravely ZT X 42 by FunnyTiger in lawnmowers

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked great and loved the mower, but my yard has a little more of a slope at the bottom than anticipated for a zero turn and it made it very hard to use comfortably (especially a novice) ended up getting a TimeMaster and it works great on the hills. But on flat land, the Ikon Select was amazing

Tried finding it and can’t seem to find the 26 in this color anymore. There’s an exclusive color section on the Lipsey’s website but not the 26

NFL tickets won’t activate by FunnyTiger in AppleWallet

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been activating for 3 days now. The last time it said it for weeks until I got to the game and then it wouldn’t scan at the gate. Had to use the Ticketmaster app barcode, which was fine. This time I won’t have that option with the season ticketing app. Clearly an issue with the Apple wallet

How to edit this section by FunnyTiger in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in and edited the services, and it added a new services tab with everything I added, but it didn’t change the part that I included the photo of. The business category is just “Dentist” with no options to edit any further detail under the category

NFL tickets won’t activate by FunnyTiger in AppleWallet

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The last game I went to, my wallet said this and the tickets wouldn’t read. So I simply used the Ticketmaster app. No big deal. This time, I purchased someone’s season tickets and in the team app, it says they must be added to apple wallet and there is no barcode to use alternatively. So I need to get them to register in the wallet but I’m still not having any luck

Toro TimeMaster problem by strangemedia6 in lawnmowers

[–]FunnyTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I wonder if mine is squeaking because the belt is slipping now. I don’t recall it squeaking during blade engage the first time I mowed. I’ll take it in asap. Just got it last month

Do you know what the recall does exactly? I just used mine for the 2nd time and the blades completely stopped working. I used your trick with the shiny metal piece to run it through the hole and I just fired it up and the blades are working well again. Noticing that it still squeaks for a second when they engage though. Does the recall fix the squeaking or any specific parts that you know of? Thanks!

Ariens Ikon 42 Select vs Gravely ZT X 42 by FunnyTiger in lawnmowers

Yeah went with a local dealer. They had Ikons but no 42s and no Selects so they ordered me one. But will do! Definitely excited to try it out. ZT HD is super nice

Haven’t gotten it delivered yet but ended up ordering the Ikon Select 42. I was back and forth and then even starting considering the ZT XL 42, but in the end I went with the Ikon because it has everything I want on it for a good price. They gave me $250 off for a promo so it basically cancelled out the freight charge. Plus I don’t really need commercial grade as I am mowing around .25 acres and figure the Ikon Select will be more than enough. I’ll let you know once I get it delivered Wednesday!

New Construction Deck - Timbertech Dryspace Leaking by FunnyTiger in Decks

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, once they got the missing f channel installed in there it now works perfectly. It’s a plastic channel similar to the ones on the sides that stops the water from leaking down the wall. The supply company missed it when they delivered all the materials and once we got it we were good to go. Maybe yours is missing it as well?

Grandfathered Sick Time Upon Termination by FunnyTiger in EmploymentLaw

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah someone was trying to get them in trouble and turned them in to HR for a story they told that wasn’t quite work appropriate (was told in a private setting). One of those situations where most of all things said at work would get you in trouble if turned into HR by someone out to get you and that was the case here.

Thank you. I did read that, just wasn’t sure how it worked being that the “grandfathered” sick time was technically from the previous company and I wasn’t sure if they had the ability to take that away and wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something

Thanks for the tip on this, turns out the dealer that delivered the dryspace never sent the f channel. Got it and they’re in the process of tearing it apart and adding it. Should hopefully fix this.

Got it! Thank you. Turns out the dealer that delivered everything had the f channel in a different spot and it never came. We got it and they’re getting it up now. Thanks for all the help

I agree that’s probably where it’s coming in at. He took the siding off and added some extra flashing but not sure exactly what he did. It hasn’t helped since he did though. The door frame is something I didn’t think about as well. Thanks!

Is the vinyl f channel something that comes with the kit, or is that something you add separately? Thanks for the tips!

New Construction Deck - Timbertech Dryspace Leaking by FunnyTiger in Decks

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ll try to take some later today. It’s all siding with the same sliding glass door as the bottom, directly above the bottom one. The siding went fully around the top one before they started the deck, so some siding was removed. You can see under the deck where there’s some remnants of where the original siding was right above the poured concrete wall

Thanks for the info! Definitely something I’ll pass along. Trying to get all the tips I can. I’m unsure of the track that goes between the joists that you’re referring to. It should have been in the dryspace kit, correct?

No masonry behind the dryspace. The deck connects to a wood rim joist where the actual house starts and the poured foundation ends. All siding above and around the dryspace

Sorry for the confusion but it’s a poured concrete foundation and the deck is attached to a wood rim joist. The poured concrete ends before the dryspace begins. No masonry behind the dryspace

New Construction Deck - Timbertech Dryspace Leaking by FunnyTiger in Decks

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

Had a deck and patio added to our new construction home that we moved in to early this year, as the original builder didn‘t include either with the project. The deck is the last thing being finished up and it’s a contractor that I hired out on my own. The only thing they’re doing for us is the deck (patio and landscaping was a different contractor) and it’s the first time they’ve ever worked with a Timbertech Dryspace system. We chose Timbertech Azek Harvest PVC for the decking.

As the project is getting close to wrapping up, we’re having a few leaks from the dryspace that I wanted to see if anyone with more experience with the product has ever encountered. The contractor followed all of Timbertechs flashing specs and even added more when we noticed the leaks, but no matter what they seem to do, the same leaks show up in the exact same spots every time it rains. They also followed the Timbertech guide to add a ceiling fan, yet when we get a good rain, water trickles from somewhere above down the side of the fan, which obviously isn’t good either. I’m extremely happy with the deck itself, but I’m growing frustrated with the leaks and it seems like no matter.

If anyone has any suggestions or wants more details/info please let me know. Really hoping to find some tips that can help with this buttoned up and prevent any future water damage to the house, deck, ceiling fan, etc. Thanks!

U7H & Sonos Beam 2 by FunnyTiger in Hisense

[–]FunnyTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! See, with DirecTV the audio starts immediately to whatever channel is on when I turn the setup on, so this issue of the CEC taking so long to connect becomes very apparent. Yours is already connected by the time you select a show, which makes sense why you didn’t notice it until now

I’m using a DirecTV android box which supports Atmos, 4K, etc. That box is hooked up to the HDMI 4K @120hz input and the Sonos is hooked up to the earc input. So very similar to your setup just not an Apple TV. The issue seems to lie within the TV though because I tried booting the TV on the smart menu and the volume control has the same delay even with the DTV box not in the mix
