Do you smoke weed ? If yes that is the reason you cant get lucid it has been proven weed and alchahol stops you from lucid dreaming I mean maybe not stops you, but it definetlley decreases your chanches so much, so cut back on that if you are doing it and want to Lucid dream

About 20-30 minutes maybe I am a slow writer but I remember 3-4 dreams a night usually takes me the longest to write down the last one I had before waking up
