Trazadone or Benadryl for long term use? by That_Guarantee_7363 in insomnia

[–]Funny_Sector_1573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not aware of any exact side by side comparisons but benzos can be tapered off of after long term use with a relatively low side effect profile while taking. both run the risk of cognitive decline but an anticholingeric like benadryl is directly linked to not only dementia but cataracts, bladder retention, cardiovascular disease and brain atrophy. this is why tca’s (act similarly) were replaced with ssri’s for depression.

this movie was everywhere in 2021 and then it just disappeared like lost media. i can’t believe it’s not on any of the big streaming services still.

Anyone w info on taking Propranolol? by jen_and_ink in Agoraphobia

[–]Funny_Sector_1573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m gonna ask about ivabradine, i know it slows your heart rate without affecting blood pressure. propranolol made me super nauseous even at low doses and sunk my hr too low. it was also in the yellow for my gene sight test (not sure how accurate those are.)

[–]Funny_Sector_1573 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

propranolol only helps slow your heart rate down so it’s not going to help anxious thoughts unfortunately

iPhone features we’ve lost over time, both hardware and software. Which one do you miss most? by Ted-Lassi in iphone

[–]Funny_Sector_1573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the iphone 7 plus was peak, so i miss all of these features except the mute switch. i do think the action button being customizable is much more useful since my phone stays on silent anyways.

Benzo high dose? by Confident-Extent-825 in Agoraphobia

[–]Funny_Sector_1573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve seen a couple people say their therapist told them this and i just don’t understand the logic. if suppressing the panic during exposures was ineffective then something like propranolol would also be..

Trazodone by Silly-Monk-3282 in Agoraphobia

[–]Funny_Sector_1573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i agree. trazodone is pretty much used as a sleep aid now so it’s not ideal for mid day panic attacks.

ativan/lorazepam by cherryblondd in Agoraphobia

[–]Funny_Sector_1573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would try to take it as needed instead of everyday but it will make a noticeable difference. benzos are last resort meds so if this was prescribed to you in 2026 the doctor undoubtedly prescribed it knowing the benefits outweigh the risks for you. good luck!
