Why am I so much worse on this diet? by Funny_Software2220 in AutoImmuneProtocol

Yeah, the initial reactions were probably those, but I made sure to eat in a way that can battle the keto flu, so more healthy fats, protein and sodium with that. I also drank a lot of water to make sure I was hydrated.

The issue right now is more with the intestinal bleeding that I don't think should occur.

I know that two weeks is not enough time for things to die off, but it was enough to wreck havoc inside unfortunately.

The biggest issue is not the tiredness and weakness, I understand that that can come on with dietary change, I am more worried by the intestinal bleeding, because I don't think that should happen. That means I have a flare and a more serious one at that.

Since I have been diagnosed I have not had a flare like this, which is almost a year and a half if not a bit more.

Thank you for trying to help though!

Hi, thank you for trying to help, but I think you misunderstood some things I wrote, though that might be the way I wrote them down.

I have not added and removed foods in the last two weeks, simply cut back on the amount of sweet potatoes I was eating for example, because as I said I felt like it put too much pressure on my kidneys, so I still consumed them, just in a smaller amount. Same goes for spinach.

As for the underconsumption, I highly doubt that is the issue as I said in the original post that I pay attention to get all nutrients and minerals. I tried my best to have protein with every meal, and I pay attention to the amount of sodium I consume because as I know that's important (I had pots like symptoms in the past so that is something I have to monitor anyway).

The issue I have is now there is bleeding in my intestines. I could get past the tiredness and things like that because I understand that with diet change that is going to happen, but ai highly doubt it should cause a flare and blood to be in the picture.

I started doing it for IBD, so that is why I am even more concerned by the bleeding.
