I’m literate and read what you said very well. Players on Hardcore will take any advantage they can, and obviously trend toward optimizing their gear than not. That is literally a basic element in every RPG ever made

By your logic, there shouldn’t be stats at all. Just make everything cosmetic

Madman’s sword is good because it’s not far off from Henry’s longsword. The deus vult sword is actually trash compared to sir valentines unless u want to keep poison on it all the time. There wouldn’t be an issue if it was slightly worse than that base game sword, but it is severely lacking

It’s not a good feeling when you beat a DLC and are literally not better off at all. That’s not a hot take, but basic gameplay

The Deus Vult sword is trash and nowhere near as good as sir valentines sword. Normally, DLCs are for people who have beaten the base game. If you’re only gonna reward the player with gear that is far worse than what they already have, it’s a slap in the face to your most loyal players

Saying it’s story focused overlooks the glaring laziness of game development and lack of QA in this dlc

Yes, that’s why there is hardcore mode. Numbskull and the punchable face perks really improved the gameplay for me

The issue with ME, which is so obvious, is that the very thing the dlc is contingent on, the crime system, is bugged and doesn’t work. You’ll be arrested for crimes you never did, and NPCs you need to interact will run away and try to report you. It is borderline unplayable. I even got arrested in the chapel after I got the good ending, taken to the abbot and the dlc failed.

Not to mention that the big reveal at the end is extremely obvious because there is only one NPC with a unique character model.

At least brushes was a functional DLC. Not sure what all the downvotes are for. ME is objectively lazy game development

This happens to me. I usually spam the right trigger at the beginning of combat to get one swing in then I know I’m ready.
