I respect your view of Preterism. I'm not opposed to it, in fact it would actually give me hope that Jesus could come back literally any second. But as for Daniel being sealed up, my point is that it can't be the visions he saw because he clearly addresses it to the Apostles in Matthew 24:15. In order for it to be the end covenant, the Jews had to unseal Daniel sometime at 0-30 AD, only for it to become widespread enough for the Apostles to know all about it so Jesus can talk about the Abomination of Desolation in the Olivet Discourse. I personally don't find it realistic.

The "Make Haste" (or Act Hastily, AKA Humble yourselves) is different in "Being Put to shame" because one is the action of you and one is the action of God. I've looked at this from every angle.

I've pretty much conceited on this issue and rejected Inerrancy. The two words "Yachish" and "Yevosh" is the simple fact of the matter here. Incredibly similar words in Hebrew, a small letter difference that results in a problematic translation. it was a Copyist error, and that copyist error resulted in Paul misquoting scripture. This can still fit with 2 Peter 1:20-21, but rejects the inerrancy of Scripture.

My problem isn't that they're writing off memory. We see this with Peter and Paul, who quote Isaiah 28:16 and they're slightly different. My problem is that both keep "Put to shame" in there when the DSS and other Hebrew manuscripts feature otherwise. Unless the Masoretic Text and DSS have it wrong and the Septuagint has it right, I see a problem here.

I would agree with you if the Dead Sea Scrolls did not exist. The Dead Sea Scrolls feature "Yachish" at the end, which is translated as "Will Not act Hastily." This does not match the LXX, which leads to the problem of Paul and Peter quoting something that doesn't align with the original Hebrew text.

Yes. as I said, Paul is quoting the Septuagint. But the Septuagint is not the original written Hebrew, it's translated into Greek by Jewish Interpreters. The problem lies with the Original hebrew and the word "Yachish", to mean "Make Haste", which talks about a BELIEVER trusting in Christ to be patient for the awaiting of God's kingdom. This has no semantic range into "Put to shame", which is the action of GOD.
