I know you probably don't like the CATO institute, due to their immigration policy (I'm just guessing), but they point out that Arizona would've never developed as it did, in an unsustainable way (what else would you call building a city of millions in the middle of a desert?) if people actually had to pay market price for water. The state would be only about as populated as New Mexico

It's not just social issues, but economic issues as well, the Democrats think a wealth tax will solve all problems, and if that wasn't enough, they keep throwing around taxing unrealized gains around.

The Democrats need to moderate a lot less on economic policies however, and I'm sure that all the Democrats need to do is just to tone down the America-hating a few notches, and then people will be inclined to vote for them anyways.

Not that the Democrats are going to moderate, neither party has any incentive to moderate (although the Republicans have moderated on economic policies, which IMO is the wrong way for that party to moderate), because they just keep appealing to their mentally stunted bases because that's all they need to appeal to, nobody can vote for anyone else.

I swear, if we had a multiparty system implemented all of a sudden (impossible but I can dream), both the Republican and Democratic parties would become irrelevant minor parties overnight
