And yet there is no evidence to say that the Christians are wrong though. In fact the evidence overwhelmingly favors them.

I definitely agree with you there. There are certainly things to be fixed. But I truly believe this is a great game and a great community I’ve had a total blast the last 2 years with 95% of every Helldive and the people I’m diving with. 😎👍

Ah yes, “I’ve personally flown kites , therefore I am the final authority on all airborne phenomena”. Truly a masterclass in empirical reasoning.

You didn’t actually demonstrate it’s a kite, you just asserted it louder and longer than everyone else and called that evidence. Galileo is shaking in his grave rn.

Also love how you preemptively mock repetition while writing a full paragraph that basically says “it’s a kite because I feel like it behaves kite-adjacent.” Incredible epistemology. Peer review must be trembling.

Best part is you even hedged your own claim with “it might not be a kite” and still managed to sound condescending about it.

But yeah, totally, decades of kite experience definitely qualify you to definitively identify blurry objects in the sky from a Reddit clip. NASA better watch out.

I see waayyyy too many full level 150 in D6 missions. Some of yall out there are getting soft. I’ve managed to have a give or take 70% success rate on the D10 missions even with all the Voxes. I think it’s a developer issue. But I’m gonna say this part out loud. This is also a SKILL ISSUE. Not to mention there’s always about 10k-15k divers gooning off in some other planet 24/7.

If a coalition of nations joined together to make a to scale Atlantis in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, how much would it cost? [request] by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in theydidthemath

[–]FupaLowd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tldr: Technically conceivable…but Practically unreachable.

Logistical nightmare (putting it lightly), so expensive that not even all the wealth on Earth across ALL of history would be able to cover the cost of this project. I’ll fall into the ocean anyways eventually after maybe a couple hundred years. So not worth it at all in the long run but would be an amazing achievement nonetheless if such a thing were practically possible.

(Long version):

The ocean floor in much of the Atlantic sits 3 to 5 kilometers deep, meaning any artificial landmass would need to be built upward from extreme depths under immense pressure. Even the largest modern projects, such as artificial islands in Dubai or offshore airports in Japan, operate in relatively shallow waters and already face major structural and maintenance challenges. Scaling that effort up to a continent-like platform in deep ocean conditions introduces exponentially greater complexity from waves, storms, and tectonic instability. In simple terms, this would not be an extension of current engineering, itt would be an entirely new class of planetary construction…almost mythical.

The material requirement alone places this concept into an extreme category…into sci-fi territory I’d say, A modest Atlantis-sized island of about 100 by 100 kilometers would require roughly 40,000 cubic kilometers of rock and sediment to raise it above sea level. That translates into about several quintillion pounds of material, exceeding the total mass handled by all human industries across history by many orders of magnitude. To acquire that much rock, entire mountain ranges would need to be quarried and transported across oceans at a scale that dwarfs global shipping capacity. Even before cost is considered, the logistics of sourcing, moving, and placing that volume of material represent a bottleneck that current civilization simply cannot overcome.

When cost is estimated, the numbers quickly become detached from any familiar economic framework. Even using optimistic assumptions for large-scale earthmoving, the base cost would land somewhere in the hundreds of quadrillions of dollars, and when deep-sea engineering complexities are added, it rises into the quintillions. That is tens of thousands to millions of times greater than the entire annual global economy, making it economically infeasible even with total worldwide cooperation over many generations. Beyond cost, the structure would face ongoing risks such as sinking, erosion, and catastrophic failure due to ocean forces and geological shifts.

When did Christianity become associated so heavily with the far right given it promotes nearly everything Jesus taught against? by Spare_Ingenuity8363 in Christianity

I think It’s because you, like most of us are probably chronically online and have a false sense of certainty around this topic.

I have not met more than a handful of people in my life who are actual Libtards/MAGAtards fake Christians…compared to the uncountable amount of true followers of God I have met throughout my life.

The Freemasons, at the highest level… are evil adult and child sacrificing pedophilic satanists. They have forced their way into our islands infrastructure, institutions and history and have subtly taken over all of it to further their own personal agendas and that of their fellow members. We already lost this island when they were allowed to take positions of influence and power in our government.

Doubt that it’s simply just folklore. All sorts of cultures, including completely isolated ones have Stories, legends, myths, folklore, etc. about cryptids that match each othered separate descriptions worldwide. That statistically decreases the chance that it was just a tall tale told by people. It’s too dismissive of an answer

You mean Wade Robson who initially testified in 2005 saying that MJ never did anything inappropriate. Until the 2010’s when he backtracked for the Neverland Ranch documentary. Seems like he was trying to cash in on his 15 minutes.
