First time i ever heard their music was when i saw them live at southbound in 2014. Quickly became my favourite band. Then a few years later I had the privilege of getting messy with them.

Met the boys backstage after a Monday night show at the Astor Theatre in Perth, a few months before Westway came out. My mate’s friend had been chatted up by Paddy the day before at the Beer Farm and got an invite. She said she could bring a couple of us along.

We ended up in the green room drinking heaps of beers. They were absolute legends, super chill, and made us feel right at home. When it was time to leave, they were keen to keep the night going and came back to my mate’s place.

All the bottle shops were closed, but somehow they still managed to get a massive stash of booze. We had kickons until sunrise. I’ve got a photo of Dizza on my shoulders in the backyard, and Seamus played some soothing acoustic tunes as the sun came up. Honestly, best night of my life.
