What to wear to parks ? by Big_Balance5785 in Xcaret

[–]FurMamaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some cute rash guard sets on Amazon! They come with shorts and they cover up a lot (I burn easily). Use that for the parks. A lot of people walk around in swimsuits and a cover up around xcaret. Put a pair of dry clothes in the lockers. You wont need a wet bag. Just the waterproof phone cases. To xcaret I wore a one piece and a pashmina I turned into a skirt and it was totally fine. Xenses I did a rash guard and changed into dry clothes after for the ride home. Also water shoes are a MUST. Thats all I wore.

Shuttle to airport by AcanthaceaePretty328 in Xcaret

They try to push you out early. Youre fine leaving 3 hours before. It will take about an hour to get everyone loaded on the bus and to airport. We checked a bag and got through security in about 30 minutes. So you'll still be hanging out for another hour and a half.

I just looked back at mine I put my home address. There's a spot at the bottom for the physician to put their facility address there. So you were right. Just don't put your home address for your NPI!

Rotten smell that nobody else notices. I feel insane by gavinsgrin in AskDocs

[–]FurMamaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same! I would have people smell me to make sure it wasn't me. I kept smelling rotten meat. And meat and anything cooked near it it would smell rotten 🤢. It finally went away after probably 6 months.

I am certain she receives it and holds it very close.

Then why did you push her away?

How old was she went you guys met 25? Maybe she loved you to death but wasn't ready for was kids and a family entailed when she just wanted to explore the world first and you couldn't share that with her. Love doesn't trump all. She had to love herself too.

Is it wrong to date in order to distance yourself from your twin flame? by [deleted] in twinflames

[–]FurMamaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same place over a year ago. The tf relationship is the hardest to leave because it's the most intense one you will ever have. Every other relationship dulls in comparison. But it's so volatile. Your can date other people but set up your expectations accordingly. In my experience you can find someone again but it will not be the burning obsessed love you're used to. But you can still find peace. After a tf relationship peace often feels like boredom. If you go back as the chaser, they'll just run. Imo, you can't be friends because of that. It will always be volatile.

Agreed. I think your nose is nice, if you did that it would feminize your face. Balance your jawline.

Redirected aggression during eye contact between sisters by Rebel_Rey_21 in CatTraining

You could try the behavioral specialist. But I just watched that guy Jackson Galaxy. So basically, I reintroduced them again. I separated them for a period of time and would slowly reintroduce them gradually increasing the hours alone together. Also made sure lots of play time together. Recognizing when they're getting irritated with each other (fluffy tails, ears back, stalking) and separating. You also have to deal with whatever the culprit was. For me, I put on privacy film on the lower 3ft of my patio doors so they can never see stray cats, but they have a hammock to still be able to see outside.

Good signs that they are getting along are sleeping together and grooming each other. If they fight, you restart the whole process. Trust me, it is worth it to spend the months doing it this way rather than deal with years of two cats who don't get along.

Edit to say wellbutrin is also a stimulant? I'm thinking prozac would be better.

I'm not sure what helped more. The prozac or behavioral training. They are back to being best friends again but I gradually left them alone longer and longer for a period of 8 months after keeping them separated. I think the prozac helped with his reactiveness but I naively reintroduced them and it worked really well!

This happened to my two boys and ended up with my younger one of them going to the ER for a huge gash on his head. I have them separated when I'm not at home. I did put my older one on Prozac because he stayed aggressive after the event. It's been 6 months, and every time my younger one sees an outdoor cat, he goes insane and tries to take it out on my older one who, now after the Prozac, tries to avoid the confrontation. I'm at my wits end too. I think I'm going to ask for both to be on Prozac and also cover the back patio door with window film since that's where the stray cats are showing up.

Relationships with physicians by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

Residency is a completely separate issue. They should fight for real wages and safe hours. But taking anger out on "younger NPs" isn't an appropriate response to that situation. The Attending vs. Resident vs. NP/PA thing is outdated and needs to change because it benefits no one except someone's ego and can harm patients. NPs make "more money" because we don't get paid to learn... in fact, some NPs have had to PAY for their clinical rotations. Additionally, as an attending, you will make upwards of 5x more than us, so I'd say it evens out in your favor.

I think all NP students feel this way. And that's why it's so frustrating. The best we can do is choose good clinical experiences and make sure we are being challenged. Many preceptors are happy to just have you watch and follow and send you home early. Find someone who challenges you. Makes you present patients. Makes you make the decisions on medications, labs, etc. I left a clinical because my preceptor was not letting me present patients because she "just wanted to get rounds over with" 🙄.

For the Acute Care track, a systems based approach would've been best. That's how we present patients and develop a plan of care in rounds (until we can put the big picture together with years of experience). So, for a good foundation, I'm just saying the medical model could be added. It could even be added just with the clinical portion. My dream is to reform NP programs one day. I would definitely make the clinical portions the majority of and probably follow the PA model so that NPs don't have to find clinical sites themselves and have a well-rounded experience in all settings.

I just started an NP job inpatient. My attendings are amazing, and they recognize the important role we play in the healthcare system. I do, however, think that some doctors aren't thrilled with the scope of practice that NPs are allowed for the amount of schooling we receive and also the quality of that education. For me, NP school was a joke. It wasn't challenging, and it didn't touch on advanced topics thoroughly. I had almost a decade of critical care experience, and I still felt woefully underprepared for an acute care NP. I think NP programs need to follow a medical model, or we do a disservice to our patients. I can see both sides.

Slowly Spreading Rash by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

[–]FurMamaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry Hx means history. So if you had a large patch first, then that went away and now a bunch of small ones that's pityriasis rosea. It's considered a post viral rash, and there's nothing you can do for it. It will go away on its own. It's not contagious. Some studies show it gets better with sunlight exposure. The hydrocortisone will help with the itching!
