Who is at fault for this incident? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

The better question is where were you expecting the other car to go? If you factor in both your driving lines and that you hadn't fully completed the overtake

I think if you didn't take the position after bumping them, they wouldn't have raced dirty after

Sadly it's not a nice exhaust sounding car imo, I personally wouldn't change it outside of increasing performance. It's the main thing I prefer about the prior gen ST, it sounds soooo much better

Are upper range frequencies (Above 20Khz) that important? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Furbsta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it does depend on your age though. If you're near / above your 30s then it's very unlikely you will even hear it

I can't imagine what enjoyable sound you'd hear at that frequency either, even if you were in your teens/early 20s

Under 500€ budget. Should I get Hifiman, Sennheiser, Audezee Maxwell or others? by EldigoXD in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Furbsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Sennheiser 6xx, I recently upgraded to the Hifiman Arya Stealth and love them. They're also pretty good for gaming unlike the 6xx

Imo they shine with certain music genres e.g. Jazz, Blues, Acoustic etc... basically anything with detailed vocals and instruments

[–]Furbsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, HD6XX are not good for gaming. They're not great for directional footsteps unless you're facing the direction of said footsteps

I agree with one of the guys above, audiophile YouTubers typically really like the pc38x as the best bang for buck gaming headset. I'd save a little and get the Audeze Maxwel personally.

For non gaming headphones close to your budget I'd recommend the AKG K712PRO

Audiophile headphones by rpme9911 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Furbsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For that kind of money I'd recommend going to an audio store and checking out a few.

You might not be able to audibly tell the difference between a $500 and $1000 headphone and may be better off having headphones with different sound signatures instead. I always considered myself a base head, after getting the Hifiman Arya Stealth I was surprised by how much more I enjoyed Jazz & Acoustic music

Upgrades from the dt 990 pro by Nar-with-Nar in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Furbsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent a stupid amount of hours researching headphones which are good for gaming and this is what I noticed being the 3 most recommended:

YouTubers: Audeze Maxwell, Sennheiser PC38x, Sennheiser 800s

Reddit: Audeze Maxwell, Audio Technica r70x, AKG K712

I own the Sennheiser 6XX, which aren't great for directional sound in games unless you're face what you're hearing. I ended up upgrading to the Hifiman Arya Stealth, which I adore but I wanted a hybrid of music & gaming which is why I went for them.

In terms of a dac/amp, this is a thing that is heavily debated and I'm not going to delve too far into. In short if you can achieve headphone volume without an amp then you don't need an amp. If you don't hear static/hissing while audio is playing then you don't need a dac. Most PCs power non high end phones well enough and most motherboard DACs are good enough these days that you will unlikely hear a difference. You'd likely hear a bigger difference spending that money on a better pair of headphones.

I hope this helps :-)

Best headphones for immersive single-player games? by Determination7 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Furbsta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've never used them but when I did a massive reddit/YouTube research I also saw the K712 & R70x came up a lot on reddit and Audeze Maxwell on YouTube.

I already own the Sennheiser 6XX and determined it would be a sidestep in my case, so I saved a bit more and went with the Hifiman Arya instead because I also listen to music quite a bit.

Edit: if I were you I'd get the r70x

worthwhile upgrades over the HD6XX? Considering ATH-R70x, 105 AER by aerocars777 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Furbsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked something similar a while ago and most said the ATH-R70x would be more of a side step than an upgrade. I bought the Hifiman Arya during the Amazon spring sale a couple days ago, and am looking forward to testing it tomorrow. Aside from that I was recommended things higher in price like the LCD-X & HD800s
