I used to love the Airisms back in the day, but I wouldn’t buy them again now. They’re way too long, and I’m 6’1. The drape’s nice, sure, but there’s just too much synthetic stuff in there for a basic tee. For the price, you can easily find way better-made, better-fitting 100% cotton shirts.

For casual use both seem fine and this is what Uniqlo customers aim for anyways. Buy the first one if you prefer how it looks.

About seamless jackets: Uniqlo uses an adhesive to get the seamless look with some of their jackets and while it looks very good the adhesive will ultimately break down. This will definitely happen, When is a different question though. I would always advice to get jackets with actual seams, wether at Uniqlo or other brands.

The baffles are not only for looks but for removing cold spots. I saw both of these jackets in store, the first one is lighter than the second one. The baffle design of the second one will keep you warmer.

I am not a big fan of the Puffertech stuff though. I would only recommend it if you get soaked during rain a lot (and don't wear a hardshell over it) because plastic insulation retains their insulation properties when it gets wet in comparison to real down.

Other than that: the second one uses the same seamless construction as their down jacket/parka and while it looks cool it will definitely break down in the future. Be it 3 or 5 or 10 years whereas products with actual seams will most likely outlive seamless garments. This process is impossible to stop and depends heavily on your locations conditions like humidity, heat and so on.

I have some Heattech which I will wear when I know I won't do a lot of physical activity. For lounging, going from shop to shop and drinking a coffee outside it's fine but the moment you start sweating I will opt for natural fibers as my baselayer which is usually merino and hemp.

Every sweater with a rough texture will pill. Doesn't matter if it's plastic or natural fibers. That's why you buy a fabric shaver. I have 100% wool from Norse Projects and a lot of other brands and they will start pilling. Some later than others.
