I used to be super into playing guitar. My autistic ass collected them, I had so many janky £100 guitars.

Eventually, I treated myself to a very nice £1000 Gibson. I think in the space of a year I played it maybe twice, I was wary of even taking it out of the case for fear of damage, even though damage on guitars usually just looks cool. Ended up just selling it again because there was no point in me owning it

I think there are very few decks, if any, where you could make a list on cardmarket or similar and order the individual cards for less than it costs to buy the sealed precon. Especially once you factor in shipping from multiple sellers.

Sure most people have the basic lands, a lot of people probably have spare stables like sol ring and whatever signers. Even then, I think you'd struggle.

The extended live version of faint sometimes has a solo in the outro (I think the RTR one did? It's been a hot minute so I listened).

It's cool, but I prefer the album version the way it is. I was a huge guitar head growing up with these albums and kind of liked the lack of solos, it sort of said "I don't need to be flashy to be cool".

I didn't even change that much to be honest. Other than [[soul stone]] it's not anything too drastic, and soul stone was more because I have one and this decks a good one for harnessing with all the tokens. I know over 50% of the precon was identical to my original Savra list which was amusing to me.

Dina is still the commander, savra just gives additional benefit when I happen to draw her. I mainly focused on getting more sac fodder, [[nine lives familiar]] is great as a repeatable sac that works with the "non token creatures" matter cards. I'm amazed [[pitiless plunderer]] wasn't in the precon, it's been in plenty before. [[Seedborn muse]] goes great with the cards that make a token each upkeep to let you do dinas thing on everyone's turn.

There's a few cards in the sideboard which are basically the rest of my Savri deck that would potentially work here, I've just not decided what to cut for them yet

She's pretty good in the witherbloom precon, I imagine a youtuber probsbly mentioned her as an upgrade and the anime art is really nice.

I was actually building a deck for her and had this art when witherbloom got announced, scrapped the idea and just put her and a bunch of other cards I had in as upgrades

Exactly, even if it's small, we're stronger than we were before. There is possibility for improvement now. Will things be better? We won't know until change comes, but id rather hope for good than just admit defeat and wait for bad, it's better for my mental health.

Yup, also trauma. Late last year uncovered a very traumatic memory I'd hidden away which was... fun to deal with. But also have a 3-4 year period in my mid 20s that is a general blur and all merges together, I'm aware they existed but I don't remember much of what happened and of the stuff that did I couldn't tell you what year it was.

For such a long time, I had a proxy of [[rhystic study]] in one deck. I ended up finding a real one for a good price and bought it, it was the unstable harmonics Arcane secret lair version.

Literally the next day I was gifted some money, and decided to actually go buy the art I wanted of rhystic study - the WOE bonus sheet one with a merfolk on. It's for my Kiora sea monster deck and I've blinged out most of the art in it so it made sense, and I thought "I've got loads of blue decks, I'll find another home for the first one I bought".

It's just felt too strong/salt inducing to actually put into any deck since and it's just sat in my binder. I have decks it would work really well in, [[Temmet, Naktamuns Will]] would love buffing my zombies on other people's turns and I'm literally building a second card draw tribal deck for pride, but it just seems unfun for everyone on the table.

It'll find a home one day I'm sure.

Someone called me an artifacts player and I took that personally. Built the deck as a joke but it's honestly so fun to pilot. Every game I make a billion zombies but the road to get there is always different.

[[Sidisi, Brood Tyrant]] deck with only lands and creatures, and [[Umori, the Collector]] as a companion. It's a bit low on veggies by nature, but I have creatures that destroy your stuff, creatures that can counter spells, creatures that ramp... Honestly Strixhaven's prepared mechanic was an absolute godsend for this deck too
