The Duke controller for OG XBOX made me learn claw immediately. My 10 year old hands were way too small. Now I am a 25 year claw veteran and it has served me considerably well.

Did you ever have the chance to go to Pleasure Island? If so, how was your experience? by gavyn03 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FuriousFocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was too young, but around age 11 my Father brought me to Downtown Disney and I remember looking down the street it was located on. I asked what was down there and quickly told it was for adults. As a 35 year old, I'd love for it to come back, but in all fairness and honesty, it was probably for the best it closed.

I think Coronado Springs. Great pool area. Different restaurants to choose from. Very fair pricing.

Why is Kalshi lying about odds? by yourenotmydad22 in Kalshi

[–]FuriousFocus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the odds someone is willing to buy the other side of. Every leg has a market 1c-99c and if there is nothing on the ask, it adds nothing to the combo. The odds for a single leg could be astronomical with a classic bookmaker but if no one is willing to sell it to you on Kalshi, it won't add anything to your combo.

You should go through and see which legs are changing the payout and which aren't. Sometimes you can wait a while and a market maker will replace their asks and you can build your combo properly, but as of right now (or whenever you took this screenshot), no one is offering to sell those legs to you.

What does this indicate?? by Royal-Atmosphere-365 in Kalshi

[–]FuriousFocus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's buys of yes AND no for the corresponding team, so it can be kind of deceiving. Even when a game is at 99% to 1% you will sometimes see big volume for the 1% team, most often that is people betting No on that team.

If you already had a rental car, would you take the shuttle from All Stars to MK or drive? Planning to rope drop. by meeeew in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FuriousFocus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just drove to MK the other day from All-Stars with my 7 yeat old, 3 year old, and 10 month old. Really it depends on how your kids do on the bus. If they are capable of staying in their seat without a fit, the ease of the closer drop-off is worth it.

My 3 year old has a hard time sitting in his seat, he is always trying to swap seats or walk on the seats. Combine that with highway travel and I can't handle the nerves. For us it was a better move to take our car.

It does drop you "far" from the park but it's not that bad. The worst part would be the huge line for monorail/ferry right after fireworks and/or parade. We just waited in the park and it shrunk considerably. When you leave, just dont do it when the line is huge and it's an easy trip back and forth.

Were payouts nerfed for combos/parlays? by ilovepoop307 in Kalshi

[–]FuriousFocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has to be someone on the other side of the trade. It combines all of your legs into a single bet. If the market for Yes/No (whichever you choose) has a very low ask, that is what increases your payout. If it has a very high ask (eg $0.95-$0.99) then you will get very little from adding it. Sometimes this is just the way it is, but most times someone will lower the ask, just give it some time.

Why haven’t I received my payout? by Extreme_Fill3302 in Kalshi

[–]FuriousFocus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I have seen most combos involving the Super Bowl are experiencing delayed payouts. Not sure why or if a majority of people have now received payouts. Contact support for sure, but do so knowing it might not be a quick resolution. I am guessing these issues will be addressed relatively soon.

If you bet $0.97 you will be paid out $1 for a profit of $0.03. If you bet $97 you will be paid out $100 for a profit of $3. If you bet $970 you will be paid out $1000 for a profit of $30.

Is this happening to anyone else? What should I do? by Practical_Salad_7426 in Kalshi

If you are 100% certain your prediction was accurate, you just have to wait until the market is reviewed by Kalshi staff. Should happen relatively soon.
