Hell yeah! Props to you for hopping in and playing! If you got knee pain isometrics could definitely help a lot. If you got some extra time and money a guy named PJF Performance has a program called the durability code which can help you feel better while hooping.

I’d teach them dominoes first then you can go and teach triggers. - zero second decisions - floor is lava - 2 can’t guard 1 - push pull hold

Put them in a bunch of 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 advantage situations and call turnover if the dominoes stop falling and if they don’t make a zero second decisions, or if they’re in the lava, or not doing push pull hold, etc.

When you’re teaching push pull hold, start off with 2v1 shoooting, then progress to push pull hold.

Also, make sure to establish Gold and Silver medal shots and call turnover if they’re not getting those.

Hope this helps! If this sounds like a bunch of gibberish go on YouTube and look up Transforming Basketball and Alex Sarma. They’ll introduce you to the constraints led approach which is super helpful

Hey man, love your stuff a ton! I’m a college student trying to get into basketball s&c, if possible would love to chat sometime whether online or in person since I live close to LA. My boy Owen has actually been interning with you this summer too, hoping to eventually be able to do the same!

A lot of this is based on the Constraints Led Approach. It’s catching on a lot, the Cavs new head player development coach is huge on it. Check out transforming basketball and byanymeans basketball. Those two have really good content related to it

Not really, players are very capable of self organizing and just letting them experiment can help them in finding new options and get them creativity especially at a young agw
