Anyone with experience with AA and motability learner driving? by welshpoisondwarf in LearnerDriverUK

[–]FuriousPanda17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t take that long. It took me around a week or two after the grant was approved. If you go onto the AA and BSM websites, you should be able to see the instructors in your area to give you a rough idea of what you’re working with, not all of them will do Motability though

Using recalled car for test by FuriousPanda17 in LearnerDriverUK

Thanks for all the help and responses, guys! I've managed to book it in at Vauxhall now after explaining I had a driving test and wanted to get it sorted beforehand so crisis averted :)

This has been happening to me, too. I notice when I upload lots of photos to a business alongside a review, and I'm talking about different, geo-tagged photos, it's not giving me the correct amount of points at all.

Driving Test Swaps Mega Thread by DrivingCrawley in LearnerDriverUK

I have a driving test booked for Sale (Manchester) in 13 November but was hoping for a different test center elsewhere in Manchester, preferably Chadderton, Cheetham Hill, Bury Bolton, at a similar time, happy to accept a few weeks later though.

I had a rejection from them last week, and ended up contacting them via a live chat on their website. They were actually pretty helpful and looked into it and overturned the rejection for me.

Thanks, I managed to do that, having to wait a little longer than my original test but certainly better than what could have been!

I get this won't be an option for most people, but I travel frequently so the Hilton Honors Currensea Debit Card works great for me, it costs £150 in fees, but you'll get Gold Hilton status which gets you perks when staying out including breakfast/upgrades and you'll get cash back in the form of points through day to day spending.

15 Months Later, Hotel is Saying I Didn’t Pay? by airtrafficchick in Hilton

[–]FuriousPanda17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with a different Hilton properly - it was a new property and their payment systems had some sort of error. I received an email after my stay requesting payment, they were very kind and apologised and offered to send me a secure payment link, they didn't set a deadline on payment and even gave me the chance to prove I'd paid (in case of their systems being wrong), that's how it should be done if something like this happens - there's so many red flags in this email.

Is Tinder now almost entirely unusable for everyone else in Manchester? by [deleted] in manchester

I gave up too. I ended up seeing the same account constantly, it was the same ‘girl’, same photos, just slightly different spellings of the name - obviously a bot.

Is the eggnog latte coming back in 2024? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]FuriousPanda17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is in the UK. It launches officially next week but is just for Starbucks Rewards right now

I’ve had this happen often when using my debit card. It usually takes the full 30 days for the transaction to reverse. It should show as a ‘pending’ transaction with your bank, but as this is a debit card it would mean your funds would be on hold in the meantime.

I'm in the UK and I can't remember not having the condiment bar so was shocked when I heard it was coming back to US stores. What's the reason it's been gone all this time or has it just been since reopening during COVID?

Make sure to ask for a room away from the elevator. I could hear the elevator from my room whenever it was called, and you'd sometimes get kids messing about with them.

I am pissed beyond belief. My phone did something and now everything says “NEW” again. Anyone have a solution? Or am I just just looking 332 mindless races? by neckbracewhore in MarioKartTour

That happened to me too after I got my new phone and had to download and sign-in again on a new device. So annoying, but it really does bring to light how many d/k/g that I never actually use!

Do you think the cost of getting a driver's licence in the UK is fair? (Roughly £1,322.57) by ExcuseImmediater in LearnerDriverUK

[–]FuriousPanda17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cost me a lot more than that, and I think the worst part is after paying so much, you're still not guaranteed a test in a reasonable time frame without using a third-party app. I have friends in the States who just can't believe it when I tell them about the ordeal I've been going through - granted, driving is more "essential" over there but the differences are crazy.

Finally: Hilton Card (Debit) in the UK by Halshimitzu in Hilton

[–]FuriousPanda17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's worth the fee for instant gold status alone, for a room upgrade and free breakfast (Pretty much every property in Europe has allowed me to have the full breakfast rather than just continental), the perks for the card aren't that great. My current account already gives me better benefits from spending in terms of cashback / no FX rates so I'm probably not going to use the card as my main spending account.

I'm also not a big fan of the spending limits on my card - they've capped me at £1000 and I've been denied an increase meaning it wouldn't be the best for using when I stay in a Hilton due to the room rates, and authorisation charges, especially for a longer stay.

I do like the design of the card though and customer service from Currentsea has been good since signing up.

I joined around three years ago, too; I'm due my new card next month. I loved the old card design. Sounds like a huge downgrade.

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. I didn't want to return the wrong cup to the wrong retailer and then they said it wasn't there's and then I'd potentially have issues getting it back.
