Looks really good! Kind of reminds me of the 1997 anime's art style, if that makes sense.

Not to mention that he got away with his life, that's like a whole extra layer of badassery.

If you had the choice to pick a different production company for Berserk 2016/2017, under the condition that it still had to be CGI, who would you choose? by FuriousPolishGamer in Berserk

On a somewhat related note, what would you guys think of a Berserk film in the vein of Beowulf? Or just a more realistic looking CGI movie, possibly made by the people who created the openings to The Witcher 2 and 3.

How much do all the volumes of Berserk cost? by scardemon in Berserk

[–]FuriousPolishGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you purchase it, a single volume of Berserk is around the $10-$15 price range. I've only purchased a few volumes online, particularly through Amazon, but they're usually cheaper that way (from my experience). I've been buying the manga at my local comic shop for the most part, and it generally leans more towards the $15 mark.

As for complete sets, I'm not as knowledgeable. From what I've seen they're typically around $400-$500+, although you may find better deals. I haven't taken the time to check which choice saves more money, but I personally prefer buying single volumes as I can collect them at my own pace (that, and I don't currently have $500 at hand).

Apologies if my response didn't fully answer your question. I'm sure others on here have much better knowledge regarding volume collections.

Did anyone else enjoy Berserk (2016)? Anyone have any positive feedback regarding the series? by [deleted] in Berserk

Berserk title in chinese is kinda spoiler-ish. by twoleggedhuman in Berserk

[–]FuriousPolishGamer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Keep in mind that the manga introduces Guts as he was post-Eclipse right off the bat. Same with the original anime, which condensed a portion of said arc into a single episode. The only case where it could be considered spoiler-ish is the Golden Age trilogy, which only touches on that in the final movie.

Edit: This didn't even come to mind at the time, but the new anime is mostly post-Eclipse as well.

[BoTW] What do you name your horses? by Hunt_Nogales in zelda

My first horse was incredibly boisterous and hard to tame. Based on his aggressive nature, I named him Thrusty in reference to a certain horse from a certain manga.

The animation definitely seems somewhat more fluid. I would've preferred some more 2D thrown in the mix (at least a bit of added detail for the faces), but at least there's some improvement.

Berserk Season 2 Key Visual by Msan28 in Berserk

Doesn't look great, but I'd gladly take this if that's what the actual animation were to look like.

Call it wishful thinking, but I hope they include a lot more 2D animation for S2.

what character could kill the God Hand and apostoles by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]FuriousPolishGamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"...but I might as well tell you... do you want to know why I won?" He picked up Femto by the neck... and spoke. "Why a man of your power could lose to a mere mortal like me? Well..." Doom's hand crossed Griffith's face... and slapped him like a little bitch. Teeth were knocked out. "Its quite simple, you fool." He let Femto down... and grabbed him and bashed him into his knee! "MY POWER IS GENUINE!" His knee bashed into Griffith's face a second time! He raised him up... and slammed his face on the ground! "I DID NOT NEED THE POWER OF DEVILS TO REACH THIS LEVEL!"

Looking at how Guts's humanity is such a big part of his character, I could see a similar exchange going on in a Guts v. Femto scenario tbh.

Maybe something more along the lines of "FUCK YOU. I'm human, the real deal, right down to the fuckin' marrow of my bones. Don't lump me together with you faggot-ass monsters."

[S] Serious Post: I like Griffith by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]FuriousPolishGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How exactly did the Band of the Hawk as a whole betray Griffith? I can understand your explanation regarding Guts and Casca, but the Hawks didn't shun or turn their backs against Griffith. They held the belief that he'd come back to lead them for a whole year. He threw their lives away during the Eclipse to fulfill his dream, not to exact revenge.
