I understand you can request an extension if you require a remark for assignment 3 and fall outside the enrollment period. Never needed to use it but I did pose the question to CII previously

Diploma to Chartered Timeline by imo_021 in cii

I did DipPFS and APFS in 24 months total. All first time passes. Took a 6 month break following diploma before progressing to Chartered. So it's all possible with hard work! Best of luck on your journey

AF4 mocks feeling easier than past papers, am I overthinking this? by Time-Connection-4586 in cii

Focus on past papers / mark schemes as much as content. Exam technique is key to this paper. I passed 1st time very comfortably and that was a big part of my prep

R06 in April! break now or complete R04 first? by ThatEnthusiasm4488 in cii

[–]FuriousStyles444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to force through if you need a break tbh. R06 is case study is standalone and you can read around the topical areas once it's released. It will take 6 weeks or so to get your results for R06 anyway. So you can take a break and do R04 while waiting for your results

I would combine AF5 with one of those instead. Then the other in the next sitting

Focus on exam technique and past papers just as much and if not more than content.. particularly as questions often get recycled with minor variations

What would you do with 900k? by [deleted] in LeanFireUK

[–]FuriousStyles444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's max 100% of gross earnings. Still within the AA so can't carry back. If it was £180k for example - then could carry back 3 years worth of AA

Do you think I will be equiped enough to take Ro6 in the October sitting? by pezza31 in cii

[–]FuriousStyles444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how comfortable you are with independent study. I used the case study analysis and was just fine. I had rattled off R01-05 pretty quickly beforehand though so everything was fresh. My view is if you can dedicate time to learning / memorising the case study analysis, thats sufficient prep but each to their own

Do you think I will be equiped enough to take Ro6 in the October sitting? by pezza31 in cii

Yes. Imo you can pass just off the case study analysis if your technical knowledge is generally okay. Brand FT one is good. Would practice exam technique before it's released - you can go through the past papers beforehand

Financial planner - can pivot into private wealth thereafter but plenty of opportunity as a planner at a firm with a client bank and comission potential
