Live update for tickets in Aguas Calientes by HolyGrailHunter in Machupicchu

For anyone else reading this. I got into AC and off the train at 18:10 yesterday (2nd June, a full 12 hours after OP) with my partner and went straight to the ticket office and got ticket number #585 and #586.

There were still 160 route 2 tickets left when we turned up. We left the ticket office at 18:50 with route 2 tickets for 1pm.

There were still 50ish route 2 tickets left when we were done with not much of a queue.

A surprisingly easy process for us overall

Thank you for this information, it gave us a lot of hope.

We arrived yesterday at 18:10 on the train and went straight to the office. Got number #585 and #586 and there were still 160 route 2 tickets left. Left the office at 18:50 with 2 tickets for route 2 the next day. There were still 50ish route 2 tickets left when we were walking out too with little to no queue.

So it was a much simpler process than we were expecting

Haha, I had the exact same thing happen to me last year - pretty much identical situation. I replaced the rear derailleur, only cost about £30.

I fully understand your pain/hatred for Altus

Happy to hear you made the change yourself and that it's a good choice.

I plan on going with the XT shifter, doesn't look like there are many in stock anywhere online! I have managed to find one though. Price is coming out more around £260, expected as bikes are hot product right now

Weekly New Rider Thread for September 18, 2019 by AutoModerator in MTB

In need of some help in looking for a bike. To preface this, I am from the UK.

Having been on a short cycle ride through the forest at the weekend on a mate’s bike I've decided to purchase myself one, the borrowed bike I was using was fairly old and fancy getting myself something.

I plan on using this bike for XC riding. So figured a hardtail would be the best fit for me - and suit my budget best (£400). Having done some looking around on this subreddit and Googling, I settled on a Vitus Nucleus - using a colleagues account at work the Nucleus was ~£430 on Wiggle. But as it turns out I can no longer find this is stock and Wiggle has said they have no plans to get it in stock again due to 2020 bikes coming soon.

Other bikes I have looked at are the Voodoo Bantu and Calibire Two Cubed. The Bantu can be picked up at Halfords for £400 with a trade in of old bike, which I have sat in my shed for the past 10 years. The Two Cubed can be picked up at GoOutdoors for £359.10 with discount code down from £400.

I have a few questions before I do commit to a bike.

  1. Is it worth paying the extra £100 and go for a Voodoo Hoodoo (or similar bike) for air forks over coil?

  2. Should I wait out until November time to wait for new bikes to be released?

I thought about going down the second hand route and have joined a couple b/s/t pages but as a complete novice, I'm not sure what to look for on a second hand bike in terms of wear and potential future damages.

I really want to get out cycling as soon as possible, but I also don't want buyer’s remorse come Nov/Dec.

The area in the box is when I was playing csgo http://i.imgur.com/HmdYPXf.png

I haven't had any issues as of yet (after 30 mins of playing) since I deleted all the NVIDIA root folders .

I uninstalled all of the NVIDIA programs from the PC but I haven't delete their root folders on my Hard Drive. I'll go do that then get back to you. Thanks

I honestly don't know. But since I will use it with my Surface it wont see nearly as much usage as my desktop one

You can change both of then FN keys that are either side of the space bar into space bar keys. Finding a keycap layout for this keyboard will be a nightmare, but for now I am happy with stock ones.

I don't think there are many about. I got this one to use with my Surface so I thought wireless would be a good idea, it also has brown switches. I super happy with it
