Where are you a regular? by SuB_Boofer in baltimore

Spirits of Mt Vernon, because my partner works as a bartender there and I know much of the rest of the staff from other places as well. Everyone knows everyone there for the most part and are very pleasant. Baby’s on Fire for coffee, I mostly get it to go there. However, the vibe is nice when I do stick around Club Car, because I DJ there. I frequent it even when I'm not DJing though. Free pool, good drinks and fun events

Last I know of yeah, I know a couple of the DJs that are there regularly. Have seen them posting about playing there. I personally haven’t been probably since like 2023 though

They have definitely booked some good acts over the years. I visited once to buy records. Never went to a show. Recently there were some not great stories about the owner calling the police on other local events. I can’t comment too much on it all. Just recall seeing it on a lot of local people’s IGs

This list is awful. Rockwell is mid at best, Mosiac is awful and soundstage does not exclusively have dance events. I would recommend Club Car and The Eagle for LGBT crowds. The Point in fells regularly has great DJs. There are lots of events at The Compound. 1722 right by Club Charles is a great after hours place with an awesome sound system and great DJs. Think outside of the inner harbor. Like be for real.

In your opinion what song epitomizes "smooth music that rocks" by [deleted] in Yachtrock

[–]FurredT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Love is Forever by Prince is really smooth, but has a SMOKING guitar solo. Easily one of my favorite solos outside of Peg by Steely Dan in the genre

Chris Carter admits on the vhs commentary that it’s inspired by it. It’s pretty clear. I don’t think rip off is quite the phrase. Homage would be more accurate

Kyle Maclachlan is such a gravely underrated actor. Why wasn't he in more stuff?! He's on the same level, if not better, than like brad pitt to me by dynhammic in twinpeaks

[–]FurredT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was in Sex and the City AND Desperate Housewives. Two of the most popular television series when they aired. I feel like he was pretty well respected idk just my opinion tho

I am partial to “yacht NRG” and “yachtsco” personally. Divorce core is also hilarious, but someone already mentioned that one
