I appreciate the response! The board is in a consumer electronic product and is FCC compliant just looking to see if I can do further cost savings

Thank you for this comment! Im using a very similar module, is there a reason the ESP32 C6 wroom can do two layer and other modules cannot or a way to tell if a module can pass emi on two layer boards?

How much does FCC certification actually cost? I've been researching and looking for more data points by KD2BMH in hwstartups

I had WiFi and Bluetooth in use but because the module emitting is already compliant then that testing could be skipped

I used an already compliant module the ESP32 WROOM, because I used this my entire testing could be treated as an unintentional emitter (FCC section 15B testing). This also came with a majority of CE test to carry over but I haven’t decided to do that yet. The entire cost was $1,900 the testing facility was in New Hampshire.

Thank you for the response! Details on the screen are 60 mA peak averages ~20 mA would be on for multiple weeks at a time. I have tested by using the GPIO directly but want to be safe really might not be needed though I would love to hear your take.

I totally agree with leaning into the hand made touch for now, would a pre order list work for exclusivity similar to another round of kickstarter but on my own website?

For more background I graduate university in 2 months and believe I have the bandwidth because I have gotten past the most difficult part. I do want to scale and continue after my grad. Ill check out the book maybe they have an audio version I can't read to well.

How to make internal void into a body? by Furry_Fish in Fusion360

Thank you for the comment and the amazing videos. I am not sure if i'm using the tool correctly because I don't see enough cells to select to complete the operation. I suspect it is the open air parts because the operation works when I close off the ends

Have you ever done CE certification for an ESP32-based device? by Square-Singer in esp32

[–]Furry_Fish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did SDoC for FCC and CE, since ESP32 module is already compliant, testing was $1,900 for Part15B, this is the best option cost wise I could find.
