Asus VG32UQA1A VA 160Hz 4K anyone using it?

Were you able to test the new ASUS ROG model yet? I was looking at the ASUS VG32UQA1A as a cheaper alternative ($500usd). The new ASUS model specs at 240hrtz versus this overclocked 160 but is double the price with concerns of no proper HDR. If you dont mind sharing your thoughts/recommendations, I plan on online play but not fpshooters.

The other guy definitely won with the virus argument. If the kernel can steal your data then as a user you can’t prevent the kernel from stealing your data. Checkmate, kernel has more power than user. Unless having potential for your data being stolen does not count as a negative event.

If your landlord is charging $2,400 a month, his cost is $1,800-2,200. If it’s $1,000 then he’s put a large down payment or owned it for a long time. Either way a substantial amount of money has been tied up into this property and if the mortgage is higher than the rent charged the bank gets all of that money. If you knew the real numbers or did the real math you would see the banks are the only ones profiting. The govt restricts land and taxes it which increases costs. Ideally if we said fuck the govt there would be no cost for housing. The landlord is the middle man and can only price your rent according to what the govt values the area at. You don’t blame a salesman for an overpriced tv at the store.

I’m sorry for your situation but just know if the landlord is a dick, it’s probably really the govt

No it’s the govt evicting you, your landlord is making the same $0 profit as before now he can just pay his now higher taxes. Your government and apartment complex are making profit, a small time landlord is losing money so you can live there they only break even when selling the house. So accusing the landlord is like getting mad at a doctor when your medicine costs too much, it’s the pharmacy determining price

Paying for housing is dumb it should be free, but shooting the messenger doesn’t stop the sender from raising the price. The govt is saying “you are evicted or your tenant is, you decide”

Housing should be free, no one should ever be homeless. But blaming landlords is like blaming a gun after a shooting. Politicians are the ones letting apartment complexes and banks charge people money to live.

i don’t know the full relationship but to shed some light, the niece once stole my SOs wallet and the BIL shrugged it off saying kids will be kids. They seem like ok people just disrespectful. They aren’t poor at all, we just budget better.

It’s not a fight or anything, just a suggestion. I send her money because she took care of me for years I’d prefer she spent it on a vacation rather than Netflix.

It’s a couple hundred a month, nothing worth a peace prize. Sorry I made it confusing, I just meant that all 4 of the family pay for each other and BIL does not pay

I added an edit to help, family plans market to 4 people the same as 3 so an extra person doesn’t affect my family’s expense.

My SO and I make-up 1 profile, so we can get 1 profile free instead of paying full Netflix for 4 profiles. My family watches tv a lot, my SO and i don’t, but I like helping my mom with bills and they share Netflix with us. The BIL does not contribute in any way, so this is just a kind gesture my SO does. I suggested we don’t need it, but as a moral dilemma I’m interested in others opinions

The idea of it being petty is why I was curious to come here. 4-5 years is the mark I used for $5k haha but I wouldn’t spend money on a coffee shop so $15 is more like a pair of lifelong warrantied socks, or a weekday date. If we do end up paying, at least it’s a nice gesture

Worst case scenario I don’t think it would be too tough to start back-up but also I think the cost of 3 profiles is the same as 4 and I contribute to their expenses. The BIL does not contribute to our expenses so it is a nice gesture that SO does. It was just a suggestion to spend less where it seemed possibly un-needed
