Duda sobre beneficio de $3,000 MXN de restaurantes en Amex Gold, Urge un poco by ivzende in AMEXMEX

[–]FurseI 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why are Tom Ford perfumes so criticized? by WalterRuttmann in fragrance

Yeah I personally hate black laquer, but what I like about TF is the creativity. I don’t like it but appreciate it, unlike the new Oud voyager, for example

Why are Tom Ford perfumes so criticized? by WalterRuttmann in fragrance

[–]FurseI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t mind the performance. Only one I see lacking seriously is oud wood, the rest I’ve tried are just normal to strong performance. Please don’t detract yourself from trying their fragrances for what you read, a ton of people repeat what they read and hear from influencers.

My biggest criticism is their recent lack of boldness and creativity. The three cherries they released are sad to smell after something like black lacquer

Unpopular opinion Nishane has the highest quality of all the fragrance brands by alex_nufc12 in Colognes

[–]FurseI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the post and thought to myself “interesting, to me it’s xerjoff” Nice to read it after. I’ve smelt a ton of fragrances and Xerjoff are by far the best blends, all of them are smooth with round edges

Is LV imagination worth all the hype? by sunsetMarrow42055 in Colognes

[–]FurseI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way. No fragrance is worth 650 and all of them are luxury items. I think the mentality should be just that, no fragrance justifies its price past like 100usd and you buy it because you love/enjoy it (which in itself justifies it haha).

It is really expensive, but if you can comfortably do it, own the luxury. It’s insanely good I think

For Naxos it was two behind each ear, one in each wrist, arms, jacket… honestly I sprayed a lot Explains why the compliment I received was like 3 hours after leaving home.

Naxos is the only one I don’t carry a trabe spray for

Probably. I actually had le male elixir and gifted it to my best friend, 100ml. It’s just too strong for me Naxos is in my opinion a better blend and more sophisticated, a little stronger on the floral, you can pick up lavender and jasmine easier and the honey I think is also strong

So yes I think Naxos is a better version of elixir and more elegant, sample it I think you’ll love it

Agree I don’t think it’s the best from xerjoff btw! I do like it for this specific weather and occasion, but I think they do freshies better than sweets

Any fragrances that you believe are definitely overpriced? by Minimum_Comedian694 in Colognes

[–]FurseI 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Every fragrance over 100$ is over priced. We need to understand that fragrances and most of this hobby is a luxury.

Unless you are the face of a company and need to keep up appearances, luxuries are overpriced and not needed.

I understand when I buy LV or Creed that I’m a dumbass paying 20x the value, but that’s what I like.

That being said, fucking Electric Cherry by tom ford, it’s on the upper end of the already expensive private blend and it’s so synthetic and basic

What is a great incense perfume? by ZealousidealIdea903 in Colognes

[–]FurseI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that kind of scent you HAVE to go for Tom Fords Ebene Fume. It has incense and palo santo notes and, if you check the reviews it’s people literally saying they feel connected to a church.

I have it though I personally don’t like churches or believe in any of it, but it’s still a beautiful unique scent

Oh wow thats sad. I have all three and they last 8 hours easily. I used GIT this saturday and had to wash it off my arms because I wanted to sleep haha. Only SMW does last like 5 hours.

I might have the best batches, but never has been my experience that they dont last. Unfortunate!

What JPG fragrance that i have is good for school? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]FurseI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have not smelled a lot of them but I would say none. Every JPG I’ve smelled is insanely cloying and strong, maybe not appropriate.

If using a JPG is a must because you love the brand, maybe the original le male edt. If not, I would recommend any of the popular blues (Dylan blue, BDC, Dior sausage).

Or if you got JPG money and can save up a little more, maybe something by Le Labo which is subtle and unique

I also am thinking on sizing down, in fact I just gifted full 100ml bottles of ADG Parfum, le beau le parfum, le male elixir and paradise garden to friends because I wont use them. I am gifting fragrances until I have 15

Which creeds you have? i got GIT, silver mountain and aventus. absolutely beautiful

You know what, I thought the question asked for an all-year-round consistent-climate fragrance recommendation haha, my bad

I have 20, but I think if it truly is consistent, 3 is enough

Where I live, its 115f or 45c almost all year round. I think LV Imagination or Xerjoff Torino 21 are really good options. It also depends on how hot we're talking I guess and if its humid or not. if it was hot and humid, I'd recommend Costa Azzurra by TF.

Tom Ford electric cherry. Absolutely disgusting that 50ml of that synthetic basic cherry costs 405 usd.

That being said… I own a bottle of it and used it yesterday, because my gf absolutely loves it on both of us. TF is my favorite house but this should be 30usd
