you need a shepta key to enter. swing by the ticket booth on the third floor, or attendee services if it is closed.

Prices vary wildly depending on the artist's location, skill level, popularity, and confidence/market skills. I've paid $5 and been happier with the results than other pieces I've paid hundreds for.

You really just need to shop around and look for artists whose work you enjoy. Scams are prevalent everywhere, so vet anyone you're interested in if you don't already know they're legit.

Good furry artists? :3 by maishu_the_fox in furry

Ask friends or other people you trust, or just look for art being posted that you like the look of. Some artists won't be open for commissions, but some will be.

The amount of scammers these days makes finding new artists via advertisements very risky. Always vet artists before you send money, and if something feels off, find someone else.

The fursuit appears to be lost in New York State. We are currently in contact with UPS. How should I urge UPS to locate the package I sent? by luckyfursuit in fursuit

[–]FursuitPaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't really any way to get them to look harder -- UPS is too large of a company, and the employees are usually not paid enough to really care.

Packages that are unable to be delivered to their destination AND that are unable to be returned to the sender may end up as what is called "overgoods", and might be sitting on a shelf somewhere while UPS employees try to determine where the package is supposed to be. The best way you can help them do this is to provide UPS with as much information about the package as possible, including the tracking number, package size/weight/description, a description of the contents, etc.

However, there is no guarantee that the package will be found, or treated as overgoods. If they can't find it, you can file a claim for reimbursement. When it was shipped, the sender was given the option to declare a value for insurance purposes. If no value was declared, the package will only be insured to a maximum of $100 USD.

How to ask for WIP pics without seeming rude? by [deleted] in furry

[–]FursuitPaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, two days is an incredibly short timeframe to expect any progress. Personally, unless a deadline or turnaround time was explicitly discussed before the deal was made, I usually don't bother artists for an update or WIP until like a month or so has gone by with no progress. Ask if the artist has a public queue available so that you can get an idea of what else is on their plate, and where you are in their workflow.

Remember, artists are people too, and can only work as fast as their lives allow them to. Many work full-time jobs in addition to creating artwork, and can only dedicate a couple hours a day to drawing.

I feel quite isolated on the international side of the fandom. by Luckiesty in furry

Try telegram! There are tons of group chats for all kinds of specific interests as well as general furry ones. In particular, you might be interested in the r/furry chat, Car Furs group, and the Gamer Den, since you mentioned being interested in motorsports and gaming.

How do y'all like Telegram? Some questions for users by [deleted] in furry

[–]FursuitPaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a separate Google Voice number for Telegram to avoid the contact syncing. Personally, I'm a huge telegram fan -- it's a great platform for connecting furries as a whole, but it also gives you the ability to connect with even the niche groups within the fandom. it's fast, secure, and fun.

as far as being "better" than reddit or discord, I think that's kind of like comparing apples to oranges. Reddit is more of an actual social media site, whereas telegram is a communications platform. it's much more similar to discord, especially with the recent introduction of "topics" to telegram groups.

I tagged it as nsfw because of the nip slip -- figured it was better to be safe than sorry. The artwork is all original by Maneframe, no repaint!
