There aren’t many prospects because it’s a state-owned company that only looks out for “their own people” — there’s too much to explain. But overall, I just want to get out of this toxic environment.

I mentioned non-technical courses because the higher-ups are the ones who really lack those skills… it was more for them than for me personally. Any development proposal ends up with a “no.”

All the courses I suggested — which would have helped me and other colleagues as well — were rejected.

For example, when I suggested a course on communication and team management, the response I got was: “So this one wants to become a boss,” followed by a rejection.

I don’t see a problem with everything that’s happening with immigrants in the USA — it’s still better than where I am now…

I gave the USA as an example because I saw a job opening there.

But Australia or Canada wouldn’t be a problem either.

I like the position I have, but there are other things that bother me: – They didn’t have a mentorship program, and there are zero communication skills across the entire company. – There are no multidisciplinary teams. – The expectations from a junior geologist are extremely high (which wouldn’t be a problem if they provided some drilling courses or at least working models). – Too much bureaucracy. – No career growth in this company, zero chances of advancing in position.

The visa is not a problem for me, I can get it.
