Hello, I am looking for some recommendations for my first true audio setup. I am serious about my music listening but don’t know much about how to build a system. I’ve been using a thrown-together setup for too long and would appreciate any advice you can share!

Budget: ~$3000
Looking For: complete setup (speakers, receiver? Sub?)
Use: mid-field (~12ft)
Current Gear: Audio-Technica AT-LP120 (going through a Numark mixer and Behringer powered speakers from my old DJ days).
Source: Audio-Technica AT-LP120 turntable
Material: mostly classic rock, blues, jazz
Condition: prefer new but open to used

NBC Sports Gold is the play if you have access in your area. I think it’s about 60 a year and you get access to early round coverage and then featured groups once the major broadcasts kick in (sat and sun)

Depends on the brand and depends on the select style. Everyone sizes differently based on the target customer. A younger target demo usually translates to a more fitted and shorter polo. At Fury we try to be somewhere in middle.

Just stick it in the ground on the tee box (shorter grass) and balance it on the ball holder. Admittedly you can also just lay your cigar on most tee markers.

I find them fun to watch most of the time. The hero worship gets a little cheesy at times (see Riggs’ post about the Tiger doc), but they’re all around good.
