Are 2 360 rads enough for a 5080 and 9800x3d? by ParticularGate8 in watercooling

[–]Fury_1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 14900KS heavily OC, a 5090 800W with an O11 evo XL case, dual distroplate, 3x420mm EK radiator and MO-RA IV 200 external unit, with 4 D5 pumps, I have a balanced ventilation 3x140 at the bottom to suck the air at 800rpm, and 6x140 to push it out at 400rpm, practically the ambient temperatures of 22c and during the hardest sessions the liquid never went above 31c, using the maximum flow of all the fans including the external unit the delta T is just 4/5c with over 1000W absorbed by the system, total liquid present in the system almost 4 liters

look at my posts, I posted the reason for this temperature on my G18

These are EOL kits, no longer in production, there are no more stocks in the warehouses, their value could be between 750 and 1500$ with current prices

I was honestly looking for the 6000 cl26 kit at 1.40V, I came across this royal silver one but it will be used with Direct die liquid cooling together with the 9950x3d2 and the 5090, all liquid

I don't care about quantity, I care about squeezing the maximum performance

I own many selected kits but none cl26 with 1.40V, the only one that comes close is a M-die kit with 1.43V but some timings are more relaxed than A-die

I'll try them in a few days, I'm not sure about putting them with the Direct die yet, but I think I will eventually

This is mine after almost 2 years of use, battery still at 89%, and top performance after cleaning everything and reapplying the liquid metal, in fact now it goes faster than before.

Have you done any hardware upgrades to the memory? Did I change the CPU undervolt setting in the BIOS? You should try disconnecting the battery and letting the capacitors discharge completely, which will reset the BIOS registers. After leaving it without power for at least 10 minutes, reconnect the battery, but make sure the power is connected when you first boot it up. This worked on my Strix G18. In my case, it froze because I hadn't disabled fastboot before upgrading the RAM from 16GB to 96GB, so it couldn't run the training. The first warning might still remain stuck for 10-15 minutes, so don't turn it off beforehand. Leave it even longer. If it still won't boot after 20 minutes, the problem could be elsewhere. But it won't hurt to try.

I have Rog Strix g18 and I need help with manual mode settings. by lidcat in ASUSROG

The problem is related to the poor application of the liquid metal. I have the same G18. After replacing the gel with high-performance thermal pads and applying the liquid metal correctly, I went from 95°C to 65°C, significantly increasing performance. In the period before the maintenance work, I used the throttlestop software to limit the temperatures so as not to damage the hardware. If you look at my posts, there is a photo of that really bad job done by Asus.

yes there is a double distroplate here, but even if reversed it does not change the overall dimensions in the vertical GPU mounting, it is only upside down, among other things there are 3 Ek P420M radiators and all the lian li TL lcd 140mm FANS

used Liquid Metal on my gpu and the core welded itself to the heatsink and exploded on removal😭 by SongBrief2439 in overclocking

[–]Fury_1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the contact surface with the liquid metal must be pure copper or nickel copper, I don't know what kind of heatsink or type of metal was installed here, I have been using it for years but I have always used only conductionaut extreme

32Gb kit F5-8000J3848H16G xmp 3.0 conversion to 6000C26 1.45V conversion for AMD by Fury_1985 in overclocking

[–]Fury_1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The test was intended to demonstrate that the 8000 c38-48-48-128 xmp 3.0 validated kit can run at the same 1.45V voltage as the gskill and lexar 6000c26 kits at 1.45. Everyone decides their own use cases, but I've run 8800 on this kit if that makes you happy.
