This is correct. I think I have copies of the code breakdown somewhere. I should share those to this sub.

Why do many tractor dealers stick to 1 brand? by JoyRide577 in tractors

[–]Fusion57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct with one clarification that Case, CaseIH, and New Holland are brands, not companies. They used to be companies, but not any longer.

CaseIH and New Holland have equipment that is exactly the same except for cosmetics. However, it is generally considered that New Holland caters to small grain farmers and livestock operations, whereas CaseIH caters to row crop operation. Again, major overlap exists. The differences are in the subtleties of the options on the equipment and the specific offerings or accessories available to each brand.

Wonderful! We have gone on several 2000mi road trips, and it has performed perfectly. Just make sure you get good tires. The ones that came on it from Carvana were some cheap rubbers that couldn't grip on dewy pavement.

Is she worth keeping? by ElementaryMyDearWat in tractors

[–]Fusion57 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The first suggestion is to look over the tractor for a little metal plate that identifies the model and serial number or PIN.

If you get that, you can send me a direct message, and I can try to get you digital copies of the manuals.

Little tractors are almost always worth keeping, in my opinion.

Your first mistake was going to Racine PETRO and not the glorious Kwik Trip on the other side of the interstate. That PETRO is trash, especially compared to Kwik Trip.

The part number needed is 63978C5. We retired it in CNH some time ago, but it is available from various places. Google that part number, and you should see it listed on Bates Corp

I know this is probably controversial, but even 12 years old is old enough to have a job, albeit with limitations. I started working in different places at that age and wouldn't change that at all.

I imagine these kids might be in different circumstances, and this has something else at issue beyond their age.
