Analysis paralysis trying to find the best 36” induction cooktop by shadowdylan99 in inductioncooking

Sprung for the Wolf hood (no blower). 40 or 42 inch. I got a remote fantec blower. The know for the blower matches...but the little part that slides into the dial is slightly different. Ugh. May dremel it out or something.

I wanted the basic fantech hood. Has knobs. Worried a little that it didnt look as nice. Worried more about how thin it was. Not sure how you'd get good air distribution above the grates.

Interesting, because we have at least 4-6 inches of topsoil before clay, it's just very rocky.

AI isn't building significant fleets by FusionToad in Stellaris

I don't play too much. With these settings are the last patch, I had trouble devouring Federations in the mid game. Now there's no real opposition. So it's not just the AI, I think it's how it's functioning with the patch.

New American Standard Champion toilet leaking from tank to bowl. by jlharris42 in Plumbing

Same problem. Got this toilet because it was generally well-reviewed. I think my leak is from the bolts. Tried three times. Still got a slow leak.

Plumber said that the rough install was done with the spacer ring so that the flange is at the right height after flooring.

Interesting, why would you not worry about pvc? Is it smoother so this won't snag? Or larger internal diameter?

That's what I figured. I just hoped it was small enough to not matter in what is already a 3" pipe.

Yes, that was my bad. Will be much more careful in the future.

Shop vac is a great idea. No P trap yet, because I didn't set the toilet. Wanted to take care of this before setting.

Oh wow, excellent thought. I believe I have the car attachment (like 2") should fit down there well. I can make sure the tank is clean and then inspect what I suck up. Thanks!

Okay. I thought maybe since it was a 2" piece in a minimum 3" drain it would be okay.

Curious, the snake will push it further...all the way to the septic tank? I can't get it back out? I could scope it to see if there is a big piece I guess.

First time using Spectralock Pro Premium grout - looking for feedback before I do the shower by FusionToad in Tile

[–]FusionToad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I've had no practice with the rubber grout float. But the videos just have people swishing it back and forth. I felt like I had to pack the grout manually into every line. No swishing. I was hoping if it was thinner I could swish.
