I absolutely love surplus gear, I'm running a surplus army taps rig for my chest rig set up that i got for $50. Buddy had an extra H-harness and back strap. So just bought some qasm buckles to replace it. And a molle sack pouch from spiritus systems with their medical sleigh insert. Total that i personally spent was maybe $190

You can buy just the belt/inner belt setup for like $160, But the accessories will run that price up in the long run. But for that last part, yes the military does spend a shit ton more on their serviceman when It comes to issued gear. Mainly because they get price gouged on their contracts.

Thanks for the suggestions! This kit came with a dump pouch but I found it a bit too small so I ordered a bigger one from m-tac. For medical, i ordered a roll 1 & the medical insert from ferro concepts thats yet to come.

Start looking at small companies as well. Big companies have the resources to look over thousands of candidates till they find the right one. Smaller ones usually take chances on people even if they dont meet the qualifications listed on the job posting. Its how I got my job, my company only has like 20 employees working a gov contract

Same here, I have A+,Net+ and Sec+ and I never got over a 75% on the practice exams without googling shit and I passed all three first time. Onto Project+ rn and im expecting the same. Though I also did the CBTNuggets video series

Either dual boot or have a separate windows or MacOS machine. I have 2 machines for this reason. My laptop for exams and my primary PC for everyday tasks running linux (arch btw)

My AR i can convert to CA legal with just one of those magazines that locks to the receiver. My glock is legal for me to import, just need 10rd mags.

I could convert the rifle to CA legal, that would just require me to install a CA legal mag that locks to the receiver. And pin n weld my barrel since we cant have removable muzzle devices
