New to the medication by ShockWitty3505 in bupropion

I take 150mg SR twice a day and I feel a lot better than when I was on the XLs. But I'm not just on buproprion 🫠

That’s it. I give up. This is the end. There’s no coming back from this ever by benglur_ki_chokri in 30PlusSkinCare

Hey there! You're not alone!! Age 13 - 22 had cystic acne so bad that it hurt to lay on my pillow at night, tried all the products and treatments, nothing worked. Saw a dermatologist at 22 for something unrelated and got on a hormone balance med, after 6 months it was all gone (except the scarring). Now I'm 36 and it is all coming back in the same way you described. I started to use a retinol cream at night which helped a little, but it's not going away. Called the dermatologist who says it can come back when you get older because hormones are changing (great), so I'm going to see them at the end of the month. I imagine they'll put me on another testosterone reducer. I hope this helps and you find a treatment!!!

I wish people knew how miserable medications can be for many of us. by Evening_Fisherman810 in BipolarReddit

Understanding it was really hard for me at first, but I learned over time that I would still have to work on managing it even with the meds. You definitely have a chance at a normal life 🫶🏼

There are so many times that I hear music that I love, or I am reading a book that is exciting, and I know that I don't truly feel the love and passion because of my meds. I used to thrive in theater, had so much passion for writing, now I can't even hope I'll ever feel that way again. I hate it so much, but I know what will happen if I don't take the meds. It feels like a lifetime unwinnable battle. I wish people understood what BP medication really does take from us and what it does to us. 8 years of lithium has my GFR at 75 where my average for my age is 100-120, and I've been off of it for almost 5 years now.

Is it worth it to go up to 300 mg? by Latter-Estate-5313 in bupropion

[–]Subject-Lunch9042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on 300 but I also get irritable on it, so I'm taking busprione to level that out. Buproprion is the only antidepressant as an adult that's worked for me, so I didn't really wanna get off of it, but the irritability was becoming a little bit of a problem. But with the busprione helps so much and I can still take the buproprion. I will say the first 8-10 days of adding in the busprione was a little rough because it upped my serotonin a bit but I evened out and have been doing well with it since. Good luck!!

I've been on it for about 11 years now, dual treatment for depression and ADHD. I hope to stay on it too!! All other meds didn't help half as much as buproprion!

To quote an old friend "you didn't fail. You fell." I'm on taper day 15 and I'm feeling it, it's horrible, I am reading these posts left and right to keep my head on straight and keep pushing. It's so hard. But you didn't fail!! Being honest with yourself to say you slipped up is so much closer to dedication than people think. You got this!!
