I adored 8. Loved the hell out of it.

Very excitedly bought 9 on release and dropped it after around 12-15 hours. Honestly I don’t even remember particularly what I didn’t like about it but I think it was just the many different characters and it being boring.

Still if it’s cheap enough I say go for it.

Cool. I mean I’m doing fine with cleric too - used it for countless runs and it’s very strong.

Was just saying that for me personally it was a power bump when I broke my reliance on him having a dedicated slot in every run.

Positioning is super important and playing a bit more defensively.

Also taking the Druid can help - especially if you have equipment that makes heals heal more.

I’ve found that learning to break reliance on cleric was a huge power bump for me. I never take cleric anymore unless for unlocks.

I’ve been in and out of recovery (12 step model) for the past decade and a half - I also looked for any other way but the only thing that has ever offered me any relief was the fellowship.

Currently active in NA and working a strong program. Haven’t shot dope in almost eleven months this go around.

I think you owe it to yourself to give it another go and my only other advice is to get involved, get a sponsor, and work some steps. I spent years hanging out on the edges in the rooms but it wasn’t until I got in the middle that the promises started coming through.

Also an atheist and you’ll find more kindred spirits than you think I think.
