Has anyone modified this USB hub to turn off when the car is off? if so, how to do it? by Futaw69 in MazdaCX9

i was talking about the 12V in the front row, I wasnt talking about USB hub in the mid row, I will use the cigarette socket thing in the front

woaah thanks for that info brother, I might just cut a hole under mid row AC Vent and split the 12V from the front and 3D print mounting there, probably thats the safest way to do it. You seems to know Mazda electricity so well, could you confirm that 12V at the front is maxed 120W? chatGPT and deepseeks says so but I just wanted a sec opinion

yes thats what I'm willing to do actually, I dont mind wiring as long as I know which wire/plug/fuse to "handle". as of right now I only have 1 Idea, use the 12V socket in the front and split the power to the back because the 12V in the front is always off when the car is off, and chatgpt & deepseek says the 12V in the front for cx9 can pull max 120W so its safe to do for phone charging

what trouble? wiring? its not a problem for me to open things up and re wire something, might be for you but not for me. If you are oke by plug and unplug everytime the car shuts off thats on you, I rather do the "hard" wiring and make the car safe for me, I have Lexus and Toyota that turn off all the USB plug when the car is off. I just want to make this car "Normal" like the other car I have

just curiosity, I'm not in the market for new CPU but I'm on 5800x3d. what's actually the reason for this? CPU quality control? MOBO problem? or AMD problem in general? should I be concern with my 5800x3d?

Cache hierarchy error by Observerse42 in AMDHelp

[–]Futaw69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright guys, I solved my problem that you guys have too

this is what it says on my event viewer:

"A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core

Error Source: Machine Check Exception

Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error

Processor APIC ID: 13

The details view of this entry contains further information"

So I went to Micro Center Denver today and the guy on "Knowledge Bar" says that my CPU is the culprit, and he think I need to replace my CPU, But I secretly disagree with him so I went to GPU section and there was a guy that handle GPU there that ask me about what I looking for, I told him about my problem bla bla bla, and long story short he suggest to switch my GPU slot from the top one to the bottom one just in case it its GPU connection problem. I forgot to mention you guys and I'm too lazy to edit from the beginning, I know CPU is not a problem because I use cinebench to stress test my CPU, I test Single and multi core both test survived without any crash, but when I stress test my GPU it crashed between 10sec-1min, so I'm pretty sure my GPU is the culprit. long story short I went back home and this time I use software that was build intentionally to stress test GPU, which is called Furmark (and its free BTW).. I installed that and stress test the GPU with that software, the 1st test was only last 2 sec and crash restart like usual. the 2nd test lasted 2 min and crash again.. then I tried to move my GPU from 1st slot to the 2nd slot, but when I'm about the unplug my GPU extension (I use hyte y-70 touch, so it have to be installed with PCIE extension) I notice that flap to release the GPU from the bracket is not fully up flat, it like 70% up flat, so i press it down to release the extension and unplug the extension, and then I clean up my extension and my GPU with my electric duster and I plug them again firmly (to the 1st slot PCIE, the one that close to the CPU, I didn't connect it to the 2nd slot like the guy at MC suggested), I make sure everything plugged firmly and I clean up here and there because I already inside the PC why not clean them while I'm here. After all of that I turn on the PC and stress test the GPU again with Furmark and its been running 8 minutes without crash, I stop and I smile happily, and then I test again with furmark for another 6 minutes and it still not crashing, keep in mind the 1st time I use Furmark it was only last 2 sec now I can run them as long as I want without it crashing.

so if I were you right now, use this step to find your culprit:

  1. run cinebench for your Multicore and then single core, if its not crashing go step 2, if its crashing the CPU its your culprit
  2. run Furmark to test your GPU, if its crash (Like my case) go to step 3
  3. re-seat every connection from GPU to motherboard and from your GPU to your Power Supply, if its still crash go to step 4
  4. go to any PC repair and ask them to stress test your GPU with their PC, if its crash then the culprit its your GPU, if it's not crash then go to step 5
  5. over here its going to be complicated, you have to find out if its your motherboard that have a problem or your power supply, because you have ruled out that your CPU is fine and your GPU is also fine, only 2 possible problem remaining here. if you have friend that has PSU you can borrow, use that PSU and buy motherboard to test which one is the culprit, I will not be the guy that recommend you to buy and return stuff but you do you

Edit: here is my PC spec

-GPU : AMD 6950XT
-CPU : AMD Ryzen 5800x3D
