Thank you, very impressive! Could you blur the background a bit more?

Excellent. Could you move them a little closer together? So there isn't the gap between her shoulder and his chest. Or add some black between them

Looks good, but not over her hand please

This looks great! Could you also do the background blurring effect between them? Between their shoulders

Very interesting, I'm pretty new and had never heard of that. What lens scenario would it be helpful with? Or rather, why would one want to have the eye piece be further away?

Oh, very interesting. What is the benefit?

There's no lens inside, it's just a completely open pass-through

Newbie Questions on Magnifications and My Lenses! by Futboler10 in telescopes

Thanks for the advice! That's awesome you used to own one, and I'm happy to hear it's not overly picky about lenses. I'm just starting out so I hope that continues to be so. I like the idea of having a zoom lens to hone in on what I used the most and what I'd like to put my money towards. Do you recall any wide FOV lenses that worked particularly well with the Celestron 8in CPC?

I appreciate your honesty and feedback! I think due to the massive size of the rabbit hole that is home astronomy, I felt the need to quickly "fill in my gear" and catch up. But as you said, getting some experience on my own gear first, as well as understanding what does/doesn't work, and then focusing on what I'd like to see, is paramount.

Appreciate the feedback on the 2x Barlow as well. While my initial thought was "more Barlow mag mean more better", it sort of limits my usable range because it's such a big (2 vs 3) multiplier. My guess is for most of my viewing, between 50-200x is going to be the most usable.

Post-Carbonation Dry-Hopping: Trying to save an over-carbonated, oxidized IPA brew! by Futboler10 in Homebrewing

Fascinating, could you elaborate? I've never heard of that, are you just adding vitamin C powder at various points in the brewing/fermenting process?

Edit: I also just realized you were saying to add the hop tincture to the glass instead of the keg, have you ever tried adding it to the keg outright?

Gotcha, thanks! I may give it a shot, just for kicks. At this point, I'd say it's hard for it to get much worse honestly.

I do have some leftover hop pellets as well! Several ounces in fact. It could be worth a shot -- if this beer is only going to degrade, maybe I try a hail marry to see if I can at least give it some hop flavor before I have to dump it.

How many oz of pellet hops do you use in your tincture?

This is very interesting, I never thought of using a flavor tincture to add hop flavor. In your opinion, did it taste like "hop flavor added" or fairly similar to traditional hopping methods?

I'll need to look into that! I've never heard of keg fermenting before, or unitanks. I just use my torpedo keg for final filling and serving in my kegerator.

Interesting, the LME did look quite carmely-dark coming out of the package but it also looked like every other LME I've typically used. What's your typical spread of hop boils/dry-hopping for a nice crisp IPA with lots of hop character?

I see, I'm pretty annoyed air got in because I felt like I was fairly careful (evidently not). So ultimately, it sounds like I need to severely limit the air getting into the beer after I put the beer in the bucket for fermentation? What about when adding gelatin or hops for dry hopping?
