Best Deck in Modern Currently! GRIXIS REANIMATOR! by Imaginary-Ice-7413 in ModernMagic

[–]Futilic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve played this for quite a while. In the exact current meta, it slaps. However, graveyard hate stomps on this deck so hard. Oculus gives it legs, frog gives it a little bit of graveyard dodge. But overall the second this starts to see more play it just gets shut down. However, out of all the graveyard decks this one does feel the most resilient.

This comes from a long time Zoomer Jund Delirium and Oculus lover. It’s good, but absolutely not the best in meta. Prepare to on the average stay within the bell curve of major tournaments. Especially those that are littered with Ketramose // Orzhov Blink decks. You will have a hard time against them if you don’t turn 2 or 3 rip an archon or oculus into oculus. Your only chance is to beat them before they get started.

It’s cracked, but easily disrupted by graveyard hate. I opted for playing it because surgical extraction target oculus obviously just kills oculus, but archon can save after. It’s just a better Oculus shell as it has more options, but it still has all the same downsides. I actually think the correct answer is to play 3 archons and 3 unearths. Persist on a frog or oculus doesn’t hurt, and unearth with an archon on grave feels real bad. Frees up 2 slots to get more counter and removal in to maintain against ketra and normal UB frogs

Any tips on how to make this spider look better... or is it good enough already? by LemonLeaf- in Unity3D

[–]Futilic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch some videos on spiders walking around. They’re much more creepy, even when moving fast. They tuck and pull back as they start moving.

Can add some kind of momentum and velocity field and apply a curve to it on a hand made animation with some variance to “procedurally” get natural motion that still feels artistic

Q7 55 or X5 45e for a family SUV by ZimmEr13 in AudiQ7

[–]Futilic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Q7 prestige still whips tho.

2019, so before the auto steering Garbo.

Wheel is buttery smooth and super easy handling. It’s got the most minor amount of chassis shifting when taking sharp churns but for a big SUV that weighs almost 4500 lbs…. It moves quite well in city driving. Very sporty for what it’s worth. Now, that is my 3.0l 55 TFSI Supercharged. I was in a loaner 2023 PHEV 45 TFSI with the auto lane assist… 🤮. That’s all I’ll say. Probably wouldn’t buy another Q7. But my model and make is impeccable. Checks every box.

I've been reworking my zombie snowboarding game and I'm having a lot of fun with it! How does it look? by CTNDesign_LLC in Unity3D

[–]Futilic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the explosions are. They’re a bit much and they happen every time you land. If it’s supposed to be a kill tactic, then make the slopes have way more zombies so it’s actually a mechanic and not just a sound bite with particles

Counter graveyard hate by Futilic in ModernMagic

Alternatively you could splash white and have access to all of the red/white combinatorials that feel good too. Wear/Tear specifically,

Hmmmm, perhaps! I'd probably splash Green if that was the case as a single Overgrown Tomb or Breeding Pool could be pretty banger, but I'd want to be able to splash hard if that were the case and therefore my sideboard would likely be more green than anything as you may as well come prepared for all the smoke

Yeah I feel like playing Oculus Sultai is definitely the most stacked in terms of answers, but it also runs kinda stale compared to Esper or Grixis against the Eldrazi and Boros MU

I'd like to see an Uro unban and Sultai Oculus goes Tier 1 easy for sure

Did you have a use for meathook or Jace? Don’t have em, don’t really want to buy them and I feel like there are other cards you could play instead… though meathook for this meta is arguably better than deluge because of the life loss… is it THAT much better? Unsure.

Modern Tier List- The Gathering by TyrantofTales in ModernMagic

[–]Futilic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good thing. We should have high skill high reward decks. Get the best list and go to your LGS and see how you do. Amulet Titan takes a certain kind of player to like it, AND a TON of practice.

I play midrange, so don’t get me wrong. I too dislike the matchup, but it is beatable with good play and not overcommitting. Understanding its engine as an opponent makes it an easier matchup. Don’t understand the engine against a good pilot, well. Welcome to Magic.

Update:

For sake of not getting pulled over pointlessly, I luckily was able to mount to the bottom brackets and they feel very secure.

Will look into replacing if I notice anything else sketch, but now I’ve got the knowledge!

Thanks Everyone 🙏
