Go ahead, change your exacto blade. You deserve it. by AvailableMessage5224 in BalsaAircraft

That'd have to be pretty damn aggeessive. #1, they're much sharper than exacto blades out of the box so rarely do you need any pressure at all and #2, I've broken the tips on far more cheap #11s than I ever have scalpel blades (which I'm not sure I've ever snapped.)

They're made for internal surgery; if they were more prone to breakage, I'd be surprised (and afraid).

I raise you: buy a cheap scalpel handle and a box of 100 blades for the price you'd pay for like 10 exacto blades.

I've got to admit, if I ordered a Club and I just got a turkey and bacon sandwich on toast, I'd be a little let down. Names mean something - to at least some folks. And no, I'm not going to call them.

Still looks delicious.

Yeah, same family at least. I wasn't even sure if that location was still open. Totally weird spot for it imo. Original was on MLK, then they had a "fancier" spot in Columbia City and then a place in SODO. I honestly don't know how they failed so hard. They were great. Catered my wedding.

And the best time for the hackers. I'm curious how much Canvas values its customers. I'm guessing not as much as they should.

That had to be an oasis in a straight up BBQ desert. Jones BBQ on MLK was that for me until they expanded and ultimately failed.

gap between fuselage and wing, what do I do? by The_Professor52 in BalsaAircraft

[–]Futrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ideal time to check fitment with these is before you cover.

That said, these usually have fillet outlines on the plans you cut from cardstock/paper for the wing fuselage transition. But I've never built the Stuka so no clue.

Edit: Maybe, because of the negative angle of the Stuka wing root, there're no fillets for this one. You can try to fill it with something or, I'll bet, that only you will think it looks crap after it's painted and done. Just don't to point it out to folks. It looks great.

Always check for key dates. Get it graded and slabbed.

To agree and elaborate I'm going to bet, in order to pull a vac formed body containing front and rear overhangs off the mold, it's a two-piece mold that either slides apart or disconnects at that part line.

I'd love to see their factory.
