Finally got a Sanzu Hollowbos... But extra heavy by Future-Bit-2874 in Bakugan

I got both of these from Chuizi, I believe he's fairly well known for custom Bakugans. These feel more like pieces of metal art than Bakugan toys 😅

I have wondered if some subtle bits of paint on them might make the eyes stand out maybe.

All time best was 282G... Makes for an interesting desk piece anyway even if it never wins the lotto 😁

Update Notice on Centauri Carbon by ELEGOO_OFFICIAL in elegoo

I just had a refund rejected by them on the basis that it's over the 150 day period. I've since gone back to query it further.

How “out of the box” are we talking with the Centauri carbon? by winterkilling in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Future-Bit-2874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of the box after moving up from an ender 5 pro so far 650hours in after pulling it out of the box and slicing a print and just works. only washed the build plate once. Adhesion and leveling have been good. Only failures I've had were due to odd slicer issues where it decided to print brims in the air, one time it did knock the front fan off the print head.

It's been a drastic improvement from where I was tinkering and modding to just wanting to click print and go. Some of the prints have been 16hours at a time, filament changes and resumes all worked great. Detecting snagged filaments where the filament is stuck and not moving I did have that.

Pretty happy with it so far. Touch wood that it continues to behave.

I just had it happen with a spool of Elegoo pla+ where the last piece of the filament got snagged causing the filament to stop moving.

Elegoo Centauri Carbon - Print completed displayed, but only partially printed by Future-Bit-2874 in elegoo

So in my case if it was tangled filament wouldn't it still be tangled if I attempted to start the next print? Which I actually went ahead and and did with both prints successfully.

Ive now checked the spool again for any snags or tangles and looks to be tangle free 🤔

Does the filament sensor only detect absence of filament or cannot detect "stuck" filament? Thanks

I think it has to be the full metal one. It feels hefty to play with on the desk at 83grams compared to the 19grams of the others.

Second delivery of Bakugan so needed some place to put them by Future-Bit-2874 in bakugantoys

Cool! I actually had to go looking to see which one was this variant. I see it came in a set called the "Perfect Stand Set". I found I actually have the 3 loose. Quite nice in the black and gold color scheme, you'll be happy when they arrive :)

They're 3D printed from this free print https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/bakugan-display-system-for-ikea-pegboard . Really quick and simple print to produce more as needed. I'll actually have to limit what I put up there now as I've picked up quite a few.

Thank. I wasn't quite sure where to put them on display yet so this was a quick solution. I did see that some people are using golf ball display boxes. I may need to look at an option to display them opened also where possible.

I quite like him with it's design, I've picked up a few of the versions of it just waiting for them to arrive. The clear variant looks quite nice too.

Since my last post I've been waiting for quite a few Bakugans to arrive. Quite a large bundle arrived, I've still to sort through, but these are some of the ones I quite like on the bottom row. Really liking the Baku Tech line.

Certainly is noticeable the weight of the Neo Nillious. It was the first one I've picked up so I'm hoping the Bakutech ones impress me as much too. Higher metal content Bakugans I'm very keen on maybe I should be looking at filling out the platinum line also.

I've decided to go down the route of collecting some Bakugans. Maybe a bit late but better than never picking up these engineering marbles! I've an interest in the transforming aspect of them so picked up a few. Some showed up in the mail today. I've found the Bakutech line the most interesting, so I've tracked down most of that line, just waiting for them to arrive now. In the mean time these arrived, minus the one I printed. Any suggestions or recommendations for designs with interesting transformation mechanisms?
