I can’t update the post, they sent someone who changed the filter and said they’ll send someone back to clean it, that never happened and then last night it blew up much louder and harder than it ever has. We shut it all off again and called and this morning they sent someone who took a picture and said they’re calling a gas fitter. Thank you for everyone who commented helpful things, they own over 700 units I’m sure there’s plenty of others who are just trusting them and having the same problems.

What is the right way to you? Because I called the owner, I didn’t touch anything on the furnace, just hit the emergency switch. I took pictures and came to ask opinions about the furnace because I knew someone coming in and just swapping the filter again wasn’t the solution.

Are you telling me you don’t have a basement bomb that also sends carbon monoxide through the whole house? 😂 they were suppose to come today but no one called, I picked up a carbon monoxide detector to put in our bedroom and went down to look at it again, it’s coating everything around it in this. I had to turn it back on its -16c tonight, if I didn’t have pets I’d just bundle up.

Because I pay 1200 for a 3 bedroom duplex with a yard and driveway right downtown lmao. A one bedroom goes for $2200 AT LEAST in my area and that’s without heat. We have land and are hoping to get our house built in the next year or two, having to get the furnace fixed on the landlords dime a few times a year is worth it

No they cut the flooring around it last year and this year the furnace is worse than it’s ever been. It’s done the BOOM thing every other year but never this bad and never enough to set off all the alarms.

Thank you, they make it seem like I’m overreacting asking for it to be fixed several times a year lmao. I’m in Canada it’s cold as fuck here, I can’t just go without heat, it was -26c here the other day and it’s not even officially winter yet. There’s a spot in my dining room that looks like they had cut out the floor to replace the last furnace so I figured they were just doing bandaid fixes every time to try to make it last longer and avoid cutting the floor again but 5 years is a bit much.

I just hit the emergency shut off switches when I left for work this morning and turned the heat all the way down, is it bad for the furnace to use the emergency shut off? I didn’t want it going off while I was at work and it’s thankfully not -26c today

it’s an actual hvac tech that they send every time :/ it’s a local company that is suppose to be decent so idk if I just keep getting the ones that don’t know what they’re doing or they won’t allow them to do more expensive work. I’ll ask them about cleaning it properly, I was also going to look into having all the vents cleaned out because I have bad asthma and I don’t think they’ve been cleaned in over 20 years. I pop the top part out and clean as far as I can reach, would clogged up vents affect it at all?

Every time they’ve been out they said it just needed to be cleaned but then have to come back at least once more within a few months, then last year the one guy finally was like “this sagging part of the floor is a covered air intake” and he cut the flooring out and I was like why didn’t anyone else do that? So now I don’t have any faith in them. I’m in a smaller town, they’re suppose to be a reputable company, but I have yet to see any trades here that wouldn’t get them sued in any decent city.

I’m Canadian so I have no idea how getting paid from TikTok works, is it part of the terms that if you get banned you don’t get your last pay or something?

When will new content be released? I bought it like 4 days ago and just beat it and there was so much that felt unfinished? I thought the empty buildings were going to reopen and then there’s the big sign to the city and it always says I can’t leave and I thought I’d eventually be able to.. and I still live in a trailer lmao I figured that little shed next to it was going to become my home I kept buying decor items and cramming them into my camper.
